"Here's a riddle a friend gave me - do you know the answer?







Think of 3 words ending in 'gry' - Hungry and Angry are two of them. There are three words in 'the English Language" What is the 3rd word? Weuse it everyday. If you were paying attention, I have already told you."

The answer is language. It is the third word of "the English language". The question needs to be spoken, otherwise the quotation marks give away thetrick. This version apparently originated in 1996

there are more than two words in the English language that end in "gry". Most of them just aren't as common as hungry or angry.....

Uhh...it's testing your ability to read...you've failed. Asking the "gry" words is irrelevant. Notice how the English languageis in quotations.
