Whose buzz was Bigger Juvenile in 98-00 or Lil Wayne right now?

Sons doing interviews with Katie Couric and 16 years olds all over the country think hes the best rapper ever.

Its not really close.
 
Waynes buzz is bigger but Wayne will never make a song with that has the world impact of the legendary "HA"
 
Wayne buzz is way bigger than juvenile..........Wayne is doing alot of business outside of music--ie.--ESPN--etc

QFT. I doubt any of us would have ever even known about Lil Wayne had Juvenile not blown up from Ha.
 
Real talk if Wayne would have had this buzz back in the day, his album would have went damn near diamond easily.
 
Wayne has more buzz, but who is he really competing with? Juv was popular in a time where Eminem burst onto the scene, No Limit was in its prime, etc.

Thats just it the rap gameain't near the league it was in the 1998-2002 stage. Back then most fans copped an album every other tuesday, butnow on average I cop an album every 4-5 months and thants including buying 80s and 90s classics(Hell the last album I bought was Follow The Leader and I'mvery

As much as i like juvenile and not like Wayne, I have Never with the exception of em and 50, seen a fanbase like wayne has. Mark my words, His rock album willhorrid and it will atleast go platnium (god i hope im wrong, I hope its a brick)...... But Juve is Cash Money records when i think cash money i think Juvebecause he put them on the map.

Are you guys reading the post title? I think it's pretty obvious Wayne's buzz is bigger, did Juve really do anything outside of hip-hop? Wayne's onNike and Gatorade commercials and ESPN and he sold 3 million in 2008-2009, which is AMAZING.

For the record I hate Wayne.
 
def wayne now, juvi was better tho considering they were both out at that time and wayne wasnt recognized till recently. its cuz he has less comp nowadays andthe crowd is easier to please IMO.

Juvie ain't have no buzz? You in Memphis too? Man Juvie's buzz was crazy down here. Cash Money's buzz in general was. But i'd giveit to Wayne right now. Especially in our economic times and how much internet piracy is killing the industry.

at you cats, Juv was never really that hot, he was blessed with greatmanny beats and a slew of guest on his album. Have you actually listened to his greatest hit ever "Ha". Ha is right, all manny right there.
