as for the question in hand. I don't think Ghost will ever be considered for GOAT because he hasn't had huge solo mainstream success. I think thats mostly down to him not toning down his style because lets be honest, on clientele....what the *!+# is he saying??

Again, the way he tied it all together and combined it with crazy battle raps and everything is what makes it genius. Anyone can make a track with a fewpunchlines. Anyone can read history books and make some rhymes about them. Almost no one can do both at the same time so perfectly. Even after he changedstyles he still goes harder than ghostface.

He defenitley deserves to be consisdered as ONE of the greatest MCs . . . Almost 17 years in the game, and is STILL relevant to an extent, he had a Billboard Top 50 joint on Fishcale, I think all his album have debut in the top 5 or 10, his track record speaks for itself . . . He was instrumental in the "Mafioso" rap movement (along with others) that more or less reinvented east coast hip hop . . . A lot of Ns have deals because of that now, not to mention his level of respect among "underground" heads and international love . . .

I understand the impact is much different... wu-tang changed hip hop pretty much and vinnie went unnoticed, but in terms of quality, nothing ghostface has doneis touching anything off the Amber Probe EP.
