grew up on early 90's hip hop (wu, bcc, gang Starr, jeru etc) but I can't rock with it for the most part. I really gotta be in the mood to put any ofthat on but at any moment I can rock wit Gucci Mane & Juiceman. ¡Ayyy! I was listening to word life & turned it off mad quick when my phone played myrngtone "who the he'll r u/ I dunno dog" lol

alot of ppl have, not me tho. today's hip hop isnt hip hop to me. its pop. i wont down talk it too much tho cuz every1 is entitled to their interpitationof music. its jus not for me. ill rock to nas, big, pac, wu tang any day over souljah boy, kanye, and wayne. i dunt even listen to tha radio no more.

Hell No!!!

Old Wu, ATCQ, Outkast, Mobb Deep, BootCampClik, Pete Rock & CL go harder than anything from current day hip-hop. Timeess music never gets boring. I canlisten to a track like Nas Is Like everyday and not get bored.

And damn I could understand if u said Lupe or Joell but Gucci Mane and OJ.

I don't understand how you can grow outta real hip hop.

But I can understand you may have tone it down alot.

Which I've done alot over the past 2 years.

I ask me if I would have listened to Gorilla Zoe and Gucci 3 years ago the answer would have been HELLL NO!!!

But classic hip hop will always be bumped on the regular.

mannnn, eff those old school bums....they should have all been arrested for littering, all they did was drop trash

My sentiments exactly!

AMEN! ... been like this for a while now and i really dont know what happen ... i used to have nas, biggie, pac, jay, scarface, outkast, wu etc... on heavyrotation ... now, the only person i still listen to is scarface ... i dont even want to hear jay z anymore ... dont care to listen to pac or big either ...

i think it has something to do with the time i have to listen to music ... graduating college and working for a living only gives you a limited amount of timeto really listen to music ... i usually have the ipod on in the car to and from work, but thats about it ... most of the songs i relate to now are the radiostation, club/bar songs cuz thats where i spend most of me leisure time ...

Statements like these never made any sense to me. With soooo much quality music already out I dont understand how any one can stop listening to rap. It leadsme to believe that y'all are either listening to the wrong stuff or y'all was never really down to begin with, bunch of band wagoners. But then againanyone who calls rap, hip hop, is suspect to begin with.

some people are like this......kinda some people won't rock the 80-90s nikes.....only the new joints.

so then u must agree with souljah boy when he said it was nas that made hip hop dead. which in turn mean your a ****** jus like him. respect the pioneers lilbro cuz without them there would be no hip hop and u would have nothing to bop to.

@ your ignorance.

The ignorance of some people here is astounding.

Dudes name the 5 or so "real rappers" from a few years ago they know then go on to say not only do they prefer the new trash, but that it is BETTER.
