I wonder when we will finally see flying cars because back in the 90s everyone thought by 2000 we all would be flying our cars.

. Can't help but think of how past issues of Popular Science/Popular Mechanics and how they predicted the future would be. Everythingin that video is very possible within 10 years, but it can only be done if we encourage more students to pursue an education geared towards science, technologyand engineering.
 
from 1999 to 2009 we didnt make that huge of a jump as that video is showing. thats more like......20 years. MAYBE.

Well if you look back to computers in 1999 and where they are now in 2009. I can see a few of those coming into being.

I'd say at least 50 years. Back in 1999, most cars didn't even have navigation. There were no LCD's or plasma's for the masses. Cell phones were still very expensive and quite builky.
