Dying man calls brother instead of 911 FTL

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Volusia County deputies said they found the body of a motorcyclist early Tuesday morning who had beenin an accident and broke his leg.Investigators said, around 11:00pm Monday, the motorcyclist's friend called the Volusia County Sheriff's Office toreport that she was expecting him in Daytona Beach, but he never arrived. Officers said the man called his brother around 2:30am, who then called the KennedySpace Center, where the victim worked. KSC officials then called Volusia County Fire Rescue to report the accident.

It was unclear why the man's brother didn't call 911.Deputies conducted an air and ground search for the man on US-1 and Fullerton Grove Road inOakhill (see map). They used his cell phone to locate him, but searchers said they found him dead near his motorcycle.Investigators have not released theman's name.

Sometimes in situations like this people dont think clearly, however not calling 911 first was a bad move
 
maybe he knew he wasn't going to make it and wanted to speak to a family member before he died
but why did his brother call his job and not 911(unless his brother made it not sound serious on the phone)
 
Damn, RIP to the man that passed. I always wanted to ride on a motorcycle, but then i'm scared to.
 
Damn, it seems like that was a dumb move for a dude that works in a space center. But then again I don't know exactly what happened, maybe he thought itwasn't that bad and wanted his brother to call in sick for him, and then maybe after that he got hit by a car again. RIP.
