Loyal CONSUMERS demand OG colorways of retro models with DECENT quality.

Is this too much to ask? I haven't bought a JB product since the military IV's and with the re-emergency of Nike Basketball's QUALITY retro's,its safe to say JB has officially lost its juice.

Whoever is "controlling and directing" JB obviously has alot of "Yes" men around and arent taking into consideration the legacy of the AirJordan.
They have depreciated themselves with these consistently lame releases, not to mention the overpricing (RECESSION?) of sub-par quality products . Hell, we'veeven seen JB raise their prices!! Yeah we got Cement 3's and Black and red IV's and Carmine VI's but you were FORCED to buy the brands worst selling models in recent years to ge them, and without NIKE AIR (no matter how youput it, a Jordan will never be the same w/o the NIKE AIR logo on it, never, no matter how much patent, lasering, fuze, spizike, or nu retro'ing you do toit)

ITS A FACT JORDAN BRAND EMPLOYEES MONITOR THIS BOARD FOR CONSUMER FEEDBACK.


Lets make a change let Jordan Brand know what your displeasure's are with the company and the direction it has headed in the recent years. Lets shake uptheir weekly meetings a bit, put pressure on group managers and directors of departments who approve proposed garbage.

WE HAVE TO POWER, WE ARE THE CONSUMER, ultimately we have control of the companies direction.


lets hope this works before we start BOYCOTTING releases. Seriously,that will work too.

allow one jordan release (on his b-day) where the people get to vote on the colorway and model of the retro released!

everyone who voted will 99% buy a pair, maybe even two! wise up JB, make us happy

honestly nowadays nothin satisfies the JB consumers, ppl find the dumbest things to complain about, oh a stitch is off, the red isnt dark enough, the jumpmanisnt straight enough, u get where im goin with this
 
I am brand loyal until this very day, since joining NT 8 years ago....
But I'm not satisfied with the CDP molds
I'm not a herb son that complains and still makes purchases
I do buy what I like...
My complain 2 JB is stop go back 2 OG retro molds and do away with CDP retro molds.

Funny how people complain about people complaining. If this applies 2 you, enjoy your garbage
 
people stil buy and JB is more than happy to drop any person here on NTer. The CDPs were overpriced 90% of the time cause charging 150 for a pair of 4s and 19swhich recent prices equals 260$ makes not sense for the 60$ spike.
 
well i mean we already complain about most of JB's products on almost every single thread. this thread is jus all of our complaints organized. but u defspeak the truth. im gettin tired of all tha crap that has been releasin since the beginnin of 08. the CDP for the most part were a big disappointment. every1should have been dying to cop every single one of the CDP's. i think maybe IMO like 3 of the 11 were a hot item, a few were ehhh(only because 1 pair washot and the other was trash) and the rest were blah. what the hell are these ppl in JB thinking? does their focus groups consist of siffing up a crack bongthen thinkin of some new ideas? and why are they now retroing way too many of certain jordans (aj1) and almost none of others (VI, II, XI). stop retroing thesame jordans with billions of CWs. stop re-retroing OG CWS when there are OG CWs of other jordans that we have not yet seen retroed (maroon vi, bordeaux vii,powder blue ix, chicago bulls x, playoff xiii) it makes no sense. seriously......

JB gets money regardless ... any retro(+) will sell out even with the cheap material, cause people dont care as long as it says jordan and is a retro they willbuy... and it sucks because boycotting would be the best option but people wouldnt pass on any Jordan retros ....
 
i like the idea of the vote as well. But imo i kinda tired of the packs. Because like one person above said, one shoe is hot then other is crap. But if jordanbrand is gonna continue to do packs, let j.b pick one shoe such as the aj x bulls c.w then let us vote what the 2nd shoe should be, or they could say aj xbulls c.w and the 9's and let us pick the color. But the only problem with that is people will still complain about they didnt get their color that theywanted. AND CUT THE COST, if j.b is going to continue to put out packs. charge 250 for the pack. 125 a pair. or even 215 which they never will but they willmake more money because more people will buy them if they are a cheaper price. But then again they wont do that cos people still buy so who knows.
 
It's fair to say that JB has started using cheaper material as well as cheaper labor to make an extra buck, and you can tell in the 2009 release thatpeople will not just drop 200 on cheap looking shoes.
 
i see the concern with all us sneaker heads but you guys have to remember the kind of economy were in right now, most of JB's buyers are kids and teenagerswho buy from footlocker and footaction. they dont buy OG's and Retro's for the most part. as long as people continue to buy fusions, six rings andthese newer team shoes in all these different colors, JB will continue to make money and they will keep producing the same crap they have been doing. im allabout retro's and OG CW's but we just have to be happy with whatever they give us and just continue to voice our hatred for fusions. thats just myopinion though.
 
the sooner that everyone understands that we are a small percentage of jb's customers the easier it will be
jb does not care as long as theyre making money and thats the reality, sure im pissed about the quality, fusions, and so on but i understand that jb is abusiness above all
 
I have no problem with people voicing thier opinions as long as they have logical explanations behind them. To me the quality issues are real and i cant ignorethem. Some of the CDPs feel/look like earlier retros or OGs (for example IX and XVI) but hearing from alot of legit people, JB definitely has skimed out onalot of things that made people love jordans in the first place. And by people voicing their complains warns me or giving me a heads up on what to look in aparticular shoe that im interested. But of course IM the deciding factor that going to determine whether or not im going to get the shoe. If i dont feel theshoe's quality/looks fits my needs/wants i dont cop plain and simple as that. In the last few years it seems like a hit or miss for me, so im just tryingto scoop up older retros and OGs I have always wanted instead of some of the new crap.

i can understand why DS'ers want quality

Youre right. Its all about making that money. But had a idea (im quite sure im not the only one that thought of this) of having an option of buying the shoewith better materials/cushioning etc. or exact the specs of the originals, but have us pay more. Or let us order them if they dont want to release them instores. I know i wouldnt mind paying more for them.
 
Quality? For the millionth time...

JB knows WHY you buy their products. Its for fashion. Not for athletic purposes. So until they SEE people buying their products for athletic reasons...

Get used to it.

i concur most part..... but they have to some level of comfort, more than the average shoe.
 
had issues, but they have made it painfully obvious that they don't care. they're gonna do what THEY want, not what WE want.

so i don't care anymore. i don't don't waste my hard earned money on they're crap quality products anymore. that is the ONLY real way to take astand and have your voice heard by them. money is the only language they speakunderstand.

and quite honestly, since nike sportswear has been dropping all this heat lately, i don't even miss jordan. keep in mind, this is coming from a formerjordan LOYALIST

last 3 jordan products i bought were...

1. 18/5 cdp
2. cool grey spizikes
3. QS 20 (from a fellow NTer)

i'm over it now. i mean, u have to think.... even if they do drop bordeaux 7s, any infra 6s, chi or powder 10s, charcoal or powder 9s, etc. they are stillgonna make the quality sub par so what's the point??

they showed us during '99-'03 that they can make retros with good quality.

i agree with EVERYTHING the OP said EXCEPT complaining on NT. that will NOT change a damn thing. everything else u said is on point.
