Does anyone know if there is a source for the production volumes of the Air Jordan line? Air-Jordans.com does not have complete information.

Where can I get this info? Or is it just by observing stores in a mall or something?

Well you can Ask a GM at a Footlocker or a store of the like and they can give you a supply number via amounts in their district.(if that made any Sense) ThenFormulate the amount nationwide for an estimate.

then you gotta do that for every store (not only footlocker) and take in consideration who has an urban account. sounds like a serious project lol

I might be wrong, but it would seem like this would be readily available info. Is JB publicly traded?

If they thought about it, they could use this as a cheesy marketing ploy. Showing how limited a certain realease is over other models could create someexclusivity. I am shocked they haven't used this yet. LOL.

Exactly. Take the Laser IV's or V's for iunstance. Really any of the LS releases. I would like to see how limited they are compared to a Fire RedIII or a White/Black IX for instance. Would that change the impression of these shoes? Who knows.

my guess is they aren't limited enough to promote prod numbers in the ad campaign. for instance, maybe there were 5,000 pairs of laser 4's. compared toa GR release where there's 10x as many, it sounds limited, but the number 5,000 doesn't sound all that limited on its own. i would think it would needto be 2,000 or less to use the prod numbers in the ad to make the product seem ultra-exclusive. i don't really know though, that's just what seemslogical to me.

^^^^^yep that seems logical to me, and is in agreement with what I said before too. Sadly I have the impression that as soon as ppl would find out whats morelimited, they would like those more than what they could have otherwise loved. Human nature, unfortunately.

Anyone know for a fact if JB is publicly traded though?

The only thing I could find was Nike being publicly traded. Are they under the Nike umbrella in this respect?

I agree in people changing their opinion on what they would like. Being in business operations, I would love to know what the manufacturing #'s are forJB. As a collector/Air Jordan wearer, the production volume would be cool to know to see where what I have stands in the overall population.

I would check their financials, that is public knowledge. It might be tough to find out without some long number crunching tho... I'd makesome calls, there's gotta be someone in the company that would help you out with information.

But again, I htink that JB might just be under the Nike umbrella, like suggested above. Just call Nike, they're actually fairly helpful in the dealingsI've had with them in the past/

made sense to me. i always ask th GM's of FTL or champs questions like this so i can make a rough number of how may of a certain sneaker willdrop in my area. BTW i noticed you been postin more lately Goliath, been feelin like NT was callin for you? lol. i used to rarely see you post before. thaswassup tho

i would assume j.b is publicly traded but then again like bdub said they might just be under nike's umbrella.

Jordan Brand is under Nike...it isn't a seperate company in terms of stock, etc...

Unless Jordan Brand is attempting to promote a shoe (ie, Premium XX3's, online releases, etc) they will NEVER release production information...

BTW...99.99999% of "production numbers" posted on Niketalk over the years are so far off it is laughable...

How exactly would you do that? There are so many factors that go into the distribution of each Jordan release that this will never work...

The only information you would get by doing that is how many THAT store got...and MAYBE (if they had talked to their DM)...how many the district was getting...
