Much cheaper on amazon, but much more limited sizing.

I've been waiting for months for them to hopefully drop lower since they've been on there forever. If not, it wasn't meant to be since I'd besizing up a half size...

i hated the use of the un matching tongues, but they did grow on me, and i figured its better to buy them for retail rather than waiting and getting forinflated prices, and if i don't like them i can always let them go for the price i paid

So the 858/859/850 series is the hardcore stability line? Now I'm a bit worried I might not be able to downgrade to something a bit less.

But then again I did wear the 8507s to the gym and didn't cripple myself so I should be okay. Such a world of difference getting shoes that fit good though.

It's a nightmare trying to wear my vulcanized and cup sole skate shoes to walk anywhere now but that's probably just an indicator I need to use my 858s for running more often and stop being a fatass.

the 850/858/859 series is definitely high up there in stability. like i said, there's only a handful of shoes that are higher on the staility scale(as far as runners go)--587, 1011, 1123).

put it like this, someone who does not need stability would NOT want to wear that series. it would most likely knock them out of whack. i've heard ofpeople damaging their hips (among other things) from wearing the wrong shoes..if a shoe is pushing your foot in a direction it does not need to be pushed in(ie: if you wear a stability shoe but you supinate instead of pronating, its going to push your foor further outward which you dont need)-- you can definitelynot only end up having a pair of really uncomfortable shoes, but you can also do some damage to your feet/legs/back/hips/walking path, etc.

... but if you had been wearing that 8507 zip series shoe and it was cool, then i wouldn't stress downgrading to something a bit lower on the stabilityseries since you didn't have any issues from the zip shoe; and, that zip midole provides NO pronation control; or, stability. something lower on thestability scale (769, 904, 1224--just got in a pair of 1225s to weartest. they're SO dope, way lighter and way cleaner than the 1224--and they switched upthe pronation contol to 'stabilicore' which is way better looking and provides a WAY smoother transition than its predecesor, the TS2 x Extended webthat can be found in the 1224) is not going to hurt you as much as it will just not correct your pronation as well as something that has a bit more stability.its not bad on the same level as someone who supinates (rolls their feet outward) and is wearing a pronation control shoe. that stability (pronation control)shoe is only going to push their foot further outward instead of pushing it inward to make it roll through the middle of itself....

so, i wouldn't worry too much about downgrading in stabilility..

is this even comprehendable?

yo james, the 24 1500s lookin clean, sir.. and the pickups are clean as hell too.. where did you cop? yall got the crazy NB retailers down under, huh? yall getthe NB UK stuff, or the NB Japan stuff, or both? any way we can do some trades or i can have you pick some things up for me? id be willing to help you out onsome US released stuff ---if you would even be caught wearing any of it
laugh.gif
id just love to add another overseas NB connect to the list.. im a 9.5/occassionally a 10 and SOMETIMES i can do a 9, but usually not.. you?

yeah i wear 10 in 577 and 9.5/10 in 1500, 576 etc. it really just comes down to what sole unit is used on the different models. i wish i could help you outwith releases but we don't get anything here man, i have to buy everything from EU. barely any stores even stock NB here (the casual stuff that is). sadly, the US has it better than we do, and thats not good!

those gore tex joints are some of my favorite shoes though for real.. 580 is one of my favorite silhouettes to begin with....make it gore tex...WHAT?! yallprobably aren't fans but its whatever, i love those 580s.. this color and the purple ive worn a bunch, i dont think i even broke out the lime ones--notsure how i feel about that color

580's and 575's seem to be very popular in the states. at least the silhouette is anyway. the only 575's i really want are the three soleboxreleases, purely cuz the colorway's appeal to me most (not because they are limited). the 580's i just can't dig. i need more of a slimmer profileto get down lol

Thanks again my dude!

Thanks again airmaxlows!

For the most part I understand that too much stability can be a bad thing for those who don't need it. But a little less stability isn't bad either, right?

Got turned on to the 858s after deciding to get fitted for some running shoes instead of just buying them from an outlet or wherever based on looks. So far sogood so I'll probably stick with those until I can't find them or before I decide to do a 10K or something more.

The 8507s were decent considering I didn't know anything and just needed something all black. Either way I think they've been done for a while since Ihad them since February 2008 and probably logged on average 10~30 miles in them per week since then.

Feels weird to get rid of a shoe even though the uppers are still pretty much brand new but if the cushioning is done there's no point right?

I'll try for an easier question this time. So is it possible to have to get a different type of shoe as time goes by and one's stride, etc. may change?

Just ordered a 2nd pair of 3rd round SNS and a pair of the green 2nd round SNS. Can't wait. Seems like Airmax is the man for hooking up the ARC1300's, Ha! Got my 2nd per thanks to that man. Pics to come!!!!

Yeah, its funny to trash a runner that looks halfway new from afar but in reality is worked to death. I got fitted today at Fleet Feet and snagged the 769s. Itried the 850s and it was too much stability for me. The 1224 felt fantastic (like the Nike Air Equalon 2) but I wasn't going to buy a $140 shoe at regprice when it's update drops in a couple months (1225). After monitoring my gait, I found out I need just a neutral shoe with minimal stability and the 769was just that. I could get away with a neutral shoe with the right insert if I wanted to.

Finally pulled the trigger on a 2nd pair of 3rd round SNS' when I saw thewebstore had the BLK raging bulls. These 577's are just the most appealing colorway I've ever seen and the 577 is one of my favorite NB's. Limitone per customer my ***. Enjoy!

white laces in those for me^^ still haven't convinced myself i actually want them. they look nice in some pictures though

Nice NB's everyone. I wish I had more cash to drop on hi quality NB's. Made in england NB's > other countries. I only have a real old pair ofteal suede 576's.

be happy then mate! those teal suede 576's are one of the best! and made in england NB's are where its at. made in US comes second

and as far as the Law store goes, I havent been out there in some time, but I would say it is always worth a try. you never know what is going to pop up in thestores.. my dude actually does the merchandising for the factory stores so I get all the updates and heads' up on whats coming and when and all that and Isometimes still manage to miss out on a lot of the good stuff... but, Id say def get out there if you can.. if you do, let us know what they have out there. Imin the Boston factory store all the time but I dont get out to Lawrence all that much anymore...

also, sorry Ive been slackin on flicks and all that. Ive had a crazy last couple weeks. I def got some dope flicks for yall though.. the 1225's I beenrunning in, and a GRIP of new pickups.. Ill try to get those uploaded and posted asap... anyone else have any new pickups recently?

Can anyone find me a good price on Blk/White Stingray 1400's, or Brown Suit Pack 998's sz 10??? PYS.com has suit pack for $200 and I slept on theST33 StingRay Blk/Wht.

I have no idea how I missed this post...
tired.gif
at me for that...

Here is a couple old pics I took sometime last year when I first got a pair of the 993's. I have doubles of all the 992's now and I have the Navy andBlack colorway's for the 993's as well. The Gray 992's in the front are 10x worse than they are in this pic...they are still my most solid pair ofshoes and I wear them just about every day now. I still have the 580's in this picture as well but I have no idea where they are after we moved about amonth ago. These things are like tanks...and you can store them for years and they won't rot out on you like some other brands will...
