Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Black Market (local shop) is doing a 50% off ENTIRE inventory sale. There's still some NB's sitting. I just picked up the 996RYL for $70+tax.

Good sizes left in some 998's as well.

Nothing in my size, but they have a great selection of other stuff. Thanks :nthat:

Wasnt that price increase discussed a few
pages back when a pair of 576's (I think) and
another shoe from the same source of that 997,
were posted with prices way over $200?

Just saying, it doesnt really seem justifiable, but
who knows with todays inflation. Just gon have to
wait and see what the deal is on them. The way
most of yall be copping kicks, I dont see it stopping
yall anyway lmao.

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm such a stan for Japan collabs

Hi fam, just met up with Mr SBTG, heard that in the usa, whichever store is gonna release the sbtg x mita x nb 580 will be about 10 pairs per store. That's so little pairs.

Those 998s went on sale on plenty of places, you're sleeping papi.

and those orangish 577s are :smokin

Yeah, I was late on them. But no stores had the most common sizes 9-10 for $80. I've seen them on sale for $100 though.

how many places are u going to post the same thing?

i get it... you have your theories on Social Status.  but give it a break man

I figured a lot of people were affected by it since they had all brands on sale. Either way, I was just ranting. Sorry guys.

But I did find some more dirt on Social Status though:

"dudes are straight resellers with a Nike QS account

I'm in pittsburgh and they consistently sell limited releases out the back door for 2-3x retail. Most recently, bred1s for $500 and oregon foams for $750

They lie to customers that they're not getting certain kicks, and then a couple months later you see it in their glass case, but nope.. 'they're not for sale'

The few pairs of limited kicks they do sell to the public, they make require a $25-100 purchase for a raffle ticket, depending on the shoe.

They had a mini sneaker convention here in pittsburgh in august, and wouldn't you know, the dude who owns social status had FSR of every single QS release thus far in 2013 for 2x retail minimum.

I've thought about reporting them to nike, but I have no literal proof of any of these practices, despite how common they are. Every sneaker fan in the city knows that they're crooks.

Oh and about your new balance, yah those were in store for 50% off before xmas. They told us about the sale right when we walked in the door. My friend was gonna buy a pair and when he got to the checkout they hit him with 'do you wanna look around for another pair of something, these shoes are buy one get one 50% off'

Just plain jokers, they sell en noir and hba, same stock has been sitting in the store for over a year..

I honestly think it's a drug front seeing how many kids are always hanging in there, never buying anything, but they got 4-5 employees working the floor at all times."

Did anybody get their orders through Social Status? My CDG hoodie was cancelled because it was 'lost in the fire', but I read somewhere that everything was coming from a warehouse.

They shipped my Asics GT2 "Navy/Red" but that's probably because they were having a hard time selling them and it wasn't worth scheming insurance fraud on them. All my friends who ordered NB577 "Burn Rubbers" were cancelled, but I would not be surprised if they shipped 1 or 2 pairs to cover loose ends. From what I've heard so far, any product with high retail price that were on 50% sale have been cancelled.

In the email Social Status sent me they said, "The New Balance M998 RO is currently out of stock. The Asics have been sent out. The refund for the NB will be returned within 3-5 days."

In your email did they specifically say, "Lost in the fire"?

"I'm sorry to inform you, but your order was lost in the most recent Charlotte store fire."

They have a L on the site still but who knows what the deal is.

It I lived in that city I would get a petition going on social status. Get like 400 signatures of their bad business practice and send it to Nike

My St Alfred's order from Burn Rubber came in yesterday. Those of you with boxes in the mail will not be disappointed. I rarely double up on shoes but I am glad I did this time around.
