Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Got a question:
How are the NB 1600s on feet; heavy, light etc?

And is 88$ for the barbershop 1600s (blue colorway) a good deal?

Niice - i'm excited to cop them but patiently waiting for NB.com to drop it so I can take advantage of my discount.
They are well worth it. They're beautiful. Color, scheming, shape... the past few 1300's released from last year were not that great, this one hits it home for me. I grabbed it off the Ecapcity but would've been more then happy going full retail on them.

For those complaining of NB quality slacking... it's always been hit and miss. You'll get a pair that's flawless out of the box and you might get one that's a bit more 'messy' looking, flatten suedes, toe dents etc... It's what it is, you can fix most of those things relatively easily. The only thing that's consistent is a good shape or bad shape in the particular releases.

Love these. Also latest pickup of the 997NV's. They're on-point, the suede isn't as buttery feeling as the GY's, but who knows, might be due to the dye. They're great too. Happy with these latest releases.

No shoe tree in 2nd shot.

Quick GY vs NV.

Mainly for the Canadians (prices not as good as US deals):

Small sale on http://www.fit4balance.ca/ (same group that runs those NB Toronto stores): 10% off one item, 15% off two items, etc. (min $10/item) and free shipping within Canada.

All the 'classics' are here (but it doesn't seem like they post all their in-store stock):

Stand-outs are grey 997s in sz 10 ($230 CAD), 3 Peaks/Tea/Race Day 576 packs, recent 1500 pack, Parks pack -- all at Canadian MSRP; Moon 576s for $80.

I came in here to post the 990GB deal as well but Elephunk beat me to it.

Looks like sizes 11 and 12 are left. Comes out to $101.99 shipped.

Been eyeing the Saint Alfred 1500's...anybody got a pair, what's the good word? How's the quality and overall "in-person" look of them?

The sta 1500s are an Elmo color. It feels like the Elmo stuff animal. It's like wearing Elmo on your feet. St. Elmo's.

thanks, Ive heard that before from other people as well.  Thats a nice red shade

Yeah it's as straight forward as can be. It's a darker red in the shade and dark. It's just red in the day light and light. No magic. Lol.

Paid a visit to J Crew at Rockefeller Ctr yesterday and saw the Pebble Blues and their 996 in person.

Loved both of them! The pictures on their site can throw you off unless you see them in person.

Now I have to figure how I'm going to fit these both within my budget for next month. Ugh...
