Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

a couple recent pickups.  the gray 997 came in today.  what a hunt.  my orders were cancelled from FSHOA (quick refund), and sports zone elite (refund took a week).  a lot of people seem to have bad experiences with those guys.  but, GROOVY SHOES from canada came through!!  you can email them and request NBs.  they were able to order a 997gy direct from NB in a 9.5!  international shipping cost 20 and took a week.  note.. their prices are in CAD, so when i paid, it came out to a little over 200 USD shipped.

  they have a handful of 997 998s, some on sale, and more sizes compared to other boutique shops. 
 
Could anybody assist me in sizing of the 996? I wear an 11.5 in 998's but do encounter some heel slippage. I am wondering if I will be able to slide into that 11 left in the metropolitan blue 996 left on JCrew's website.

Already have the pebbles and want to get in on this discount. I am feeling left out

the 996's (USA) run slightly smaller than the 998s.  IF your 11.5 is comfortable, then stick with an 11.5 in the 996.

Just a perspective.. I wear a 10 in the 998 (snug fit), and a 10.5 in the 996.
 
Has anyone that ordered from J Crew on Tuesday got shipping conf yet? My paypal still says pending and I'm not sure if it's just me.
 
Gunna try this one last time cuz I'm tired of having my beautiful pair just sit in the box.
Got 11.5 DS Independence Days looking to trade for an 11. If anyone knows of someone looking for the reverse holla at me. Worked once with Crispy so hey who knows.




...if not I may just have to hook someone up with retail...

Did the 9.5 show up on the website or was it a custom order? They have a few 998 I'm interested in. 
 
First time on this thread, so I apologize if this comes up quite often. I'm a really big fan of NB's with the abzorb midsoles. Coming from the MD area, all we ever wear are the 578's with the c cap midsole and the 1500. How are the models with abzorb midsoles compared to these? I def appreciate the help.

 Oh MAn! Thats was you who ordered from them?! I went in tried on a sz 10 and I needed a 9.5. You ordered them on Tuesday August 26th right? I was so cheesed they told me someone from the US ordered it and it was just processed when i was at the counter. But they have another pair coming so i went back for it just this past monday after they called me confirming that they recieved it and was on hold for me.

I can tell you for sure that the 9.5 was not on the website as it had just arrived the same day he had called. The shoes come in they process it then it get added to the website. For instance the 997 HL and GY i purchased never made it to the website. since I get the phone call when they do come in. Their customer service is awesome.

Okay cause I really want those 998BB but I highly doubt they will be able to order those in from NB. I ll call just in case though.

yea it was a custom order, but i asked them to email me when they got it.  when i got the email, i quickly went to their site, added to cart and paid immediately.

LOL yea that was me.  i ordered them aug 25th to be exact. i agree their customer service is great with prompt replies, and sound like good folks. 
 
for those of you waiting on your j crew NBs, here's a quick timeline..

ordered 8/26

shipping confirmation 8/29

delivered 9/4 (UPS says it's on vehicle for delivery ATM)

i'll be returning this pair anyway, but still looking forward to getting these in-hand

I was told that NB canada has no more stock and that they have ordered all remaining pairs they had instock. so what you see on their website is what is left. I was there when they called NB Canada. But i was told that they will be doing a small restock in the first quarter off 2015 for the GY and NV according to NB release calendar.
