Its a really really light blue...looks almost grey in this pic but they dont look grey in real life. Ill try and post a better pic when I get home if you'd like

All that suede is Glacier Blue? Looks straight grey to me...

My finger is on the trigger. My take on those Lab Taipei customs.

if you wear a 10.5 in the mt580, i think the size 11 in the seals will run a bit too big/loose on you (might feel like 1 full size bigger).

my seals in 8.5 fit just slightly loose (which is how i like it for casual shoes), but a size 8.5 mt580 was overly loose, so i rock a size 8 in those (fit is perfect, not loose, but not too snug either).

so my take is that the 999 seals run a .25 size large from tts, but the mt580's run a full .5 size large from tts.

Agreed, here. My SEALs fit me extremely tight. My NB TTS is a half size down from my TTS. Went with my NB TTS in the SEALs when I should've gone normal TTS.
 
^ yeah, got em off ebay. i was too late on everysite, undftd japan doesnt ship to us, sns is doing instore only now, and i work saturdays so i wont have a shot at undftd out here in cali. you figure with retail being $225, im ok with $295 shipped from france. cant wait. wish i never sold my grey 575 pigeons last year.

oh man, I like the dark grey pigeons myself, did you not look at collette? they were selling online for 230 (shipped?? i think), yeah 295$ is not bad for ebay with people easily pushing 330$+
 
Is 570 a good price for a pair of Alpine and Cncpts? Very tempted to jump since I've wanted both but struck out with the scarce sz 13 and me slippin on restocks.

If you can haggle down a little, it'll help but being that you've been looking for a while, you might need to pull the trigger because those seals in 13 are scarce

so, after ordering some NBs from j crew exactly a month ago, i finally got them in. hurricane sandy and typical UPS incompetence really jerked me around. BUT j crew customer service was top notch and hooked it up with some gift cards bc of the massive delay. i was also able to get price adjustments from the 25% off sale. 3 pairs that originally cost $435 came out to $243 ($81 per pair) !!! if you order off their website and have any issues, just call and ask if there's anything they can do to compensate you for your time. they were pretty quick to offer a gift card as consolation w/o any hesitation.

2 things i wanted to mention if you are thinking about getting the j crew 1400s:

(1) i went down 1/2 a size from my normal NB size given that i needed to size down for my 1300s. they fit perfect with dress socks, but with regular socks they're pretty snug to the point of being uncomfortable. if you have the patience to break them in i would suggest sizing down by 1/2. if not go with your true size.

(2) the colors of the cranberrys and evergreens on the website are NOT what they look like in person. whatever you see online, expect them to be about 2 shades darker. i think the photoshopped versions look better, but the actual shoes are still really nice.

im kinda disappointed to be honest.

they look so much doper.

i will give my final review when i rock them.

I got to look at them in natural light. waaaaaaaaay better.

I got the cranberries months ago and returned em cause they are no where near as bright as jcrews stock photo, but nice indeed. the 1600 fire red is more the color I wished the crans were. but for that price it's a score regardless. nice
