Just got back to cold ***** VA from Vegas to these thrown in the closet by my wife. I was excited to get em but now that I have them in hand I'm underwhelmed. I do like that they're not a typical NB collab model and the materials used are nice. The craftsmanship on my pair is below average tho, Glue stains all over and a beat up NB box... Hopefully when I Try them on I'll change my mind but if not I'll let them go.

Interesting choice of material on that back heel tab. Almost looks like it's a metallic material. I am very much looking forward to all these concept collabs this year and in particular the diadora one. They just never dissapoint.

never disappoint? -_- I was dissapointed by the 997 roses and 997 sunkist

yea...  I passed on these.  Wasn't a fan of the silhouette.  The overall shape just looks weird to me
 
I haven't been a fan of anything Concepts has put out the last few years (including cnotes, tannery, etc.).  Even the Kennedy--I have no idea why that gets so much love.  I like dark colored kicks that I can wear denim with and all of these are a no-go. 
 
First pair of new balances and I couldn't be happier! Grabbed em for 124. The quality of the suede and the shoe as a whole is fantastic as I'm sure all of you know. I'm really digging the 997 model.

....wait....what?!?!? The kennedys, c notes and tannerys are some of the best collabs out there.

DOPE!  UPS just dropped mine as well, what a steal.  I have these, the PR, and the GY.  GY is still GOAT in my opinion.  
 
any update on the re-release of m998gy and m997gy?  Really need one if not both of these in collection.

So you prefer the mesh toebox over a perforated suede? 

Im really digging the 997pr might have to find a pair...
 
I like them both.  For me the 997GY is the pinnacle of a retro runner.  Shape, build quality, materials used, heritage, comfort, etc.  It's able to be worn year round with almost anything.  The PR & DBR are strictly Fall / Winter shoes for me.
