Using sandpaper to distress denim has been around for along time. Really nothing to it, 220 grit sandpaper, deck of cards(as backing or shoe tree in this case), maybe a sharp knife / razor. Go slow and think of how it would wear naturally.

It does but if you use a fine grit paper the "tears" are tiny and create the lighter look that you see on the toe of those ^^^

Ive had this with other brands also. I dont think one has an issue so to speak its just that suede varies from area to area on the hide. When you get shoes with 2 different suedes its very noticable and annoying but its not really a defect.

It's probably pretty noticeable if you're looking at them up close, but I bet you or anybody else wouldn't be able to see the difference on foot.

Looks like you got some 997 Geminis lol, sorry, that doesn't help. If it bugs you that much I would just return it and hope to cop later. I would search for the DTE until the return policy is up (if there is one). If you can't find any during that time, obviously you got to keep em.

right, first sizing question from me in a while but how do UK 670s fit? Pair has come up that i'm interested in but it would be a half size up, i'm usually a half size down in NB's and can go TTS... any help would be good!

To me they fit the same as all other NBs (997/998/577).

I had 670 Red Devils and they fit SLIGHTLY smaller than the others. I could have gone 1/2 size up and it wouldn't have been that bad,
