Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

^ Also a nice grab! I have yet to unds mine. Waiting for some nice weather up here in New England.

I bought these today and I agree with jsfanatic that you should get them half a (US) size smaller than your AM1 (or Jordan 1) size.

Also got the National Parks 996 today (discounted even). Pretty glad because I sort of regretted not getting them back when they released.

could you guide me on 996 sizing compared to jordan 1 size?

Hey everyone should i jump on 998 CEL last pair in my size for retail? havent seen them much online in canada so i assume they already sold out. those gold highlights got me.
could you guide me on 996 sizing compared to jordan 1 size?
and im not into 1s but if you like your jordans snug like me i would go half size down. i wear my 5s and 7s in 10.5 and 996 in 10 now as i like my shoes SNUG. i used to wear nikes/jays 11 and NB mostly 10.5 but im more comfortable with a tight fit i find.

Those are ridiculously boring and over priced. I hope they sit. NB needs to wake up and slow the **** down.

@Reefer Jazz  I know you picked up the 577 flying the flags like a week ago. I was wondering if the tongue if perforated suede or is it mesh? I can't tell in your pics.

Havent seen these posted yet, we just got them in. Kind of like a tech 696, part of the re-engineered series...called the MRL696FZ...designed in New Balance's Tokyo design studio and they have a tech front with suede heel...dope to me, going to grab them for sure.

Hey i was just wondering, why do ebay sellers have some shoes for cheaper than sneaker shops? These sellers also seem to have a pretty good number in terms of supply. They dont have pictures of the actual shoes either, only photos one might see on cncpts or end. One example is a pair of 997s i just saw thats being sold for $168 USD. Ive seen a lot of people selling shoes for a good discount. So my question is, are they fakes?

If they're fakes cannot be answered on a general basis.

If the shoe is older and didn't sell well to begin with it makes sense why they might be discounted, if it's a newer shoe what happens is that a retail location only pays about half box price on shoes normally.

If you run an online shop and only spend on advertising and web hosting you can afford to give a better price to sell the shoes faster and still earn the same profit as a store that also has to pay 5 employees, lights, rent, etc.

I'm sure there are a few cases that are also scams or fakes. Especially in the "too good to be try@ category, Kennedy or solebox or any other highly hyped or 5-10 year old shoe for way under the going rate are normally red flags

They may have purchased (or have a plug) direct from the manufacturer to buy at wholesale cost which I think is 50% of MSRP.  If you buy the 997DOL for $130 and sell it for $200, you still beat others who sell for retail ($260)
