Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Ok gentlemen, I'm about to spend a lot of money and hope to join the NB family -- but I need some help. I have some WIDE feet, and my only NB experience has been with size 12 2E 574s. Width was comfortable on those, but length was maybe just a hair short.

I am looking into the 997, 998 and 1300 models, but I'm not sure if my wide feet will allow it.

I stood on a paper and took some crude measurements:

Length (at longest) ~11.5"

Width (at widest)~4.25-4.5"

Do I go size 12 or 13 on the 997, 998, and 1300? Or am I just out of hobbit-feet luck?

Thanks.

My brother was able to get me the last size 10 in Gilroy. Minor imperfections as expected, still really happy with them. First pair of 997s, love the hairy suede on these. Thanks to @Jorh XD  for the heads up

youve asked several times now... best bet is to order from newbalance.com and return accordingly, it's free returns.

Yeah... I do apologize. It's just a lot of money for me personally, and I'm trying to gather as much information as I can -- I'm hesitant to abuse the NB return policy if I've gotta send back a number of shoes simultaneously.

It sounds to me like if you went with a 2E in some 574's and they fit fine width-wise but were too short length-wise, you would be able to just size up and not worry about the width. Ohwussup probably gave you the best and safest option though.

Roden gray is the site. Shop in canada. Come out to 155cad - 125 us dollars shipped. Cant wait for them to get delivered.
Wow! Thanks for this site—grabbed the last 998 CELs and they were my TTS. Would've loved .5 down but whatever, can't complain about $142 CAD shipped.

I was under a slight impression that 574s (non US-made at least - never tried a US574) ran a little short/snug in general. That in mind, I went ahead and placed an order for some 997s, 998s, and 1300s all in size 12. If those don't work out I'll have to exchange for 13s. Fingers are crossed...

It's not going to hurt NB if you order two sizes and return one or possibly both. You can post measurements all day but trying the shoes on is your best bet.

Ever go to a store and try some on?  That helps.

apparently there is a grey 997 2.0 version coming out with a all white midsole instead of grey.
