Wondering if it's just me or if anyone else feels like the HTBs fit slightly bigger than other 998s.

am I the only one who doesn't like looping my laces through the tongue hole? Always preferred just lacing over it for a cleaner look

I don't do it on 998s but I do on 1500s and 577s. And I can't remember if I have it through or not on my 997s. Probably do.

I find doing it on the 997s more difficult because it goes from the tongue loop straight to being tied and I can't help but fear I will tear the loop as I loosen the laces.

^ True. Sometimes the placement of the loop can be a little oddly placed. I think if it were down one lower on the 998, I'd probably do it. Now I need to get my 997s out when I get back home and see if I have it through or not.

I kinda like using the tongue loop, but when I first used it, ripping it was one of the first things that came to mind. So I could really go with or without it.

Perf toe all day, anyone know if they are gonna take that option down again? I want to wait for the hype to die down cause im hearing of quality issues with the amount of demand and limited manpower im sure their struggling to honor the 2 day turnaround. I want my pair to be A+ but dont want to miss out on this option lol.

Thats good man glad to hear yours didnt have any problems, one of my co workers had a friend who's pair literally fell apart at the sole lol idk if hes was just the exception or what. The ebates deal sounds good but since I'm a NB employee im sure if I can cash in the ebates since I already get 40% off my orders, idk how that would work out with the ebates would they just subtract the discount and give me the 12% off the remainder?

Did anybody else have a pair where the brown section on the toe box of one shoe was much larger than the other? I may be nit-picking here but I pay the money for NB shoes for the superior quality and craftsmanship. I'm not pleased with my pair.
The right shoe looks immaculate. The left shoe has me convinced I want to return them and order a different pair. I almost feel like I'm being too critical, but given the quality of the other pairs of 998's I have, especially the other J Crew collabs, I expect great craftsmanship.

Lace Swap? I cant really seem them clearly on my phone but they seem to have some 3m element maybe? They look dope btw I wondered how the different shades of coral might turn out and they look good. This is def one of the freshest pairs I have seen so far, I'm actually upset I didnt come up with the colorway myself lol.
*is that synthetic white on the upper heel or the nimbus cloud suede?

Just woke up randomly in the middle of the night, went on eBay for no reason, and found a pair of Independence Days for $115 shipped in my size. I must be dreaming, time to go back to bed. It's also my 24th birthday today.

not sure if anyone replied yet but I have a pair of the elite editions and they fit slightly large for me. Got a size 9 but I'm normally a 9.5 and they fit snug.
