I'm guessing they're just waiting on the next shipment. The sole is the main piece not assembled in the USA on 998's. They probably didn't anticipate the high demand on these.
Judging from the past few weeks- people are going to start submitting orders and calling NB customer service after cancellation demanding free pairs
