Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

I'll take the Concrete Jungles and Hilltop Blues over any Concepts and Fieg collab.  Thats my take.....998 that is.

Is the independence day/concrete jungle still available somewhere? Sz7.5

Appreciate any help!

Really interested in those j crew's. I haven't grabbed any collabs from them yet, cause the colorways weren't doing it for me. The butterscotch colorway is different from anything I have, kinda funky and I like it.

Jcrew has put out a ton of great colorways on one model...

I wasn't a fan of either of their recent gl3.

Ronnies asics by a mile >

Jcrew new balance by a mile (mostly because of the 998 model)>

Too many nb CW worth copping but at the consequences of burning my wallet. After what rambo said about concrete jungle, I started falling in love with it

RF has put out nothing but trash lately and that was J Crew first GL3 and it was nicer than any RF that's came out the past few years and was like $75 cheaper.

Ok so when can we expect these J. Crew 997s???

May have to put off other shoe purchases b/c they'll be $250+ easily.

Do I really need to list each of RFs GL3 ??

Much better than J crews two attempts.

I don't even look at Ronnies recent recent drops in comparison to his first 4-5 years of releases.

Anyways.

I'll need to see more pics of the butterscotch, seems like a weird time to drop a fall shoe.

It's like comparing a rookie and a seasoned vet and if j crew is as consistent as they are with new balances then in a few years they will have surpassed RF.

Love my M1500GMN. So underrated.

J. Crew > RF for NB easily IMO. The 998 is my favorite NB model and their colorways always impress me. Plus, getting the employee discount helps a lot.

I kind of wish J. Crew would venture into doing a perf toe 998.

J Crew has done more NB collabs on the 998 alone than how many RF has done with the entire New Balance arsenal, and J Crew REALLY shines on their 1400s, seems silly to compare the two.

RF has two shoes that can be argued and one of them is the Salmon Sole, which is a cw all but totally ripped off of the Norse 670 and the other is the recent 998, which is definitely a solid pair

Not really.

Do you mean the color of the thread?

Its probably just the lighting.
Look at the interior stitching on the N logo.  The one you posted has rounded edges, (with lines that almost look like a fake) versus the pointed corners on the one posted by blue chambray.

Ahhh i see what your talking about.

The second pic looks like a finished shoe though where my pic was just a screenshot from the video.

I'm assuming the finished product will be closer to the second pic.

On that note about the inside "N" stitching.. I feel like I've seen varying degrees of crispness on legit pairs. Can someone else corroborate this?

I agree also keep in mind there made by hand so obviously it can vary shoe by shoe

Championship Round:   J Crew vs Concepts

Let's not look at the quantity as much as the quality of their releases.
