The Midnight Moons are actually really dope in person. J. Crew's stock photos are atrocious. Here's my pair... They have a bad toe puff like @Fornastyy mentioned. I'll have to iron them when I get a chance.

thats why u need to get a jcrew card and order 6 pairs. Then just maybe you'll get a good one

Just caved and ordered the 997 butterscotch on the phone. Couldn't get the Jcrew student discount, but they said I'm getting wooden box so I can't complain. Tried to talk them into packing the original NB cardboard box but they said they didn't have extra boxes. Oh well. I'm happy to see them in hand with special box.
Received the 998 royalty today. Not impressed. Thin toe box suede, toe puffs, and toes came pre-creased. Even at sale price, I can't do it. Back they go.

I may try to head out to the Jersey City store and pick up a pair...I have missed out on a few releases as well...last one I was able to get were the saucony casinos and snow beaches..but missed the asic bucks, bloodbaths and purple tapes...hoping to get these and want to get the jacket. Jacket is sick... I like how they used the Patagonia logo and had it read "packers"

Nah a mom and pops had them on clearance. Last pairs remaining and happened to be my size.

Hmmm. Several j crew past collab is still available at their page. Hence i believe it will probably restock? But i am hoping to get one from NT fam if there's any.

I'm sure the restock will be instore pairs tossed online, but I've been hearing it's a one off release.

Have you tried calling J Crew and have them try and locate a pair in your size sitting in a store somewhere?
I havnt resorted to doing that yet, as Im still trying to hold myself back, but many others have been successful in doing that with many older releases.

Call jcrew customer service and speak to a "stylists" they will add you to a waiting list and will ask for your payment method. Once a pair is available they will automatically bill you and shoes ship out. If 30 days past they will take you off the list. I have read in some previous posts that some people did that and were successful within a few days.

I think they're doing something because I get linked in emails when they have new jobs and a lot of assembler jobs and other jobs like that come up frequently
