Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Need some help here...

From India and we don't get newbies out here like you guys. Because of this I only have ONE pair of 998s (j.crew ultramarine joints), which I copped January 2015. Do I go with my same size as these (us9), or go half a size down. Reason I ask is because I read that some of the 998s coming from the customisation program new balance has have been downright bad shape wise and have been running large. The 997s I own are all us9 btw. As well as my Daytona 1600s.

Help would be greatly appreciated given the Red Sox 998s are dropping soon.

I think most would agree that the 998 has a little more room in the toe box. If you want that secure, snug fit, I suggest .5 down.

White laces look great in these 

+1.  I find that the waxed laces that came with them are too thin

I got the darker red that came in the shoe, white, gray, and a lighter red

I have a feeling that greenish grey lace will help even out the colors on the shoe. Hope someone does a lace swap so we can see!

Easy cop at the pop up this morning, showed up 15 minutes early and got my pair. Best thing concepts has done since the Rose 997

copped my pair also in pop up in the am but was late but still got my size they are so nice should of doubled up but maybe on the 16th

any ideas if there are still pairs there? I know someone working arounf the corner.

Instore at concepts....I beleive they will release the 18th not sure, not a collab but a cncpts exclusive just like the last two years they did a marathon made in USA

I think they're cooked, they were already selling the display pairs on the wall at 930.

Yes, I would stick with the 9 if that's what you're already wearing in 998.

nice ! you might want to take the butterscotch candy out.  A few of mine wasn't wrapped up that well and it was stuck to the box.  So I'd think twice putting the shoes in there.
