Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

I will say if you have wide foot, TTS for 997,.5 down for 998.
I am slightly wide. When I tried half size down on the 998 htb they were too narrow.
I almost want to try again on another 998. I wonder if I just had an off pair

I sized half down from my TTS for 998. First few wears i am encountering tight and crampy on my sides, sometimes with slight pain. Then i adjust my lace abit, loosening up. Now it's better. But i cop the HTB (discounted) thanks to @jsfanatic at my TTS since half down was sold out.
I will try out the 998 TTS when it reach my doorstep.

Picked up the Bostons, it was a hurried decision and these were my first pair of 998s so I didn't know the popular recommendation was to go a half size down. Doesn't make them unwearable though, I'm just lacing them up a little tighter and they seem to be fine so far. Width is fine but there seems to be a lot of space in the toebox. Will only know for sure how these fit once I wear these out for an extended period of time.

Superb quality on these btw. Went with the 998s over the 997s and I can't say I'm disappointed. The NYCs have a safer color choice but the colorblocking on the 998 was pretty inspired, if a bit more adventurous.

Glad to see so many Singaporeans here repping NB! Hopefully I spot you guys on the streets.. Lol You guys have IGs?

997 CW seems to be the popular choice around. It's sold out in cncptsintl now. Luckily i am on the minority side. Easier to cop

definitely think less pairs of the 997 were made. didnt someone say there were less pairs online too?

I think if you have doubts, pass.
That's what I did anyway, had them on SNS and gave them to the next person in line.

asphaltgold has a fittingroom app if you check the app store. Pretty dope and they have a lot of different models on there.

Another look at the Mita MT580 collab... I am a sucker for navy and though I usually prefer flats in my NB's the ropes are a nice tough IMO.

Too bad I'm broke after purchasing the Concepts 997

Yea,those 580s are super clean. Once I saw them, I knew I had to purchase them. I'm a sucker for the navy/white/grey CW as well. It's classic
These have been "reengineered" with synthetic materials for a more futuristic, athletic look.
I typical dislike rope laces, they look super trendy, unwarranted and out-of-place on some models, these fit the silhouette perfectly. I think swapping out the ropes for flats would be a huge mistake here.
Also I've been selling most of my New Balance for one primary reason-upkeep of the suede due to inclement weather and wear (scuffs from peddles, etc)..I like what New Balance does with its Made In Us line, but there craftsmanship has been slipping as they produce more and more and go from a "niche" to common in the marketplace. (Also that puffy toe looks really bad after u put some wear on them) I hate dropping 220 on a pair of shoes that can't be worn outside on so many occasions (I live in Seattle) and constantly need to be brushed and cleaned. I want a sneaker that looks great months after I make my initial purchase, that's super easy to wear and effortlessly stylish.
Adidas has been doing this so well lately.
Anyways I love this 580s, if anyone has a list of retailers (&pricing) I would greatly appreciate it. Ive only pulled up Jappanesse sites so far
