Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

stoked as i finally tracked down my other two j crew 998's i was searching for. had a member from the site pm me yesterday and he had both pair. after seeing pics and little back and forth managed to cop both pair. can't wait to get them. will post pics and thank the member when they arrive.

such a odd coincidence i have been looking for three j crew 998's for a minute and within a week i manage to score all three.i guess that's how it goes sometimes, when it rains it pours.

kinda dig those desert dunes. in for on foot pics.

You finally get the Nighthawks?

Damn New Balance your QC is laughable. Why waste all those top tier materials on sneakers filled with flaws-especially for 220-240. I gave you guys the benefit of the doubt because you produced US made product but you guys need to get your act together.

*im stoked for the JCrew 1400 Sanddunes and the Wings+Horns 580! I had the first model but sold them on eBay-now regret it

*I thought the concepts 997 was kinda cheesy. That mint CW is super trendy to me and too "loud". I like something more subtle. Plus, why not release a dark navy and grey sneaker for NY? That would of been insane.

Finally got these bad boys in my closet

Enh...a navy/grey NYC shoe would've been rather predictable and cliché IMO.  Who wouldn't have seen that coming?  Not that every sneaker has to have a story, but I can appreciate shops putting a little effort into the backstory of a collab.  Even better when they make sense.

Verse bro. The 998GR shape is incredible. Has the best shape out of all my 998. Its not just the shape at the toe area. The midfoot is different as well. Perhaps that is why this pair fits much tighter than all my others. Congrats on the pickup [emoji]128077[/emoji]

Thanks bro...honestly they were never on my radar till i saw u post an on foot pic of them a few months back. Amd youbare right about the shape and size...these feel like .5 size smaller than what they are but its not uncomfortable or anything...they just feel right on foot. Hope to give these a lot of burn.

Really weird I noticed that today, when I had mine on. Thought I was in a 7.5(usually an 8) but it still fit fine. The mesh is also a little different than others but the shape is on point

Hey man. I was hoping to find some pics in here. But NewBalance had a few partial pics on Twitter. It releases on the 21st of this month in black and beige/sand/tan. I'm stoked.

Oh damn I didn't even think to check their twitter. I'm intrigued, can't wait to see the full shot.

that's quite a long time...  where are you located?

Was sent to Dubai... I'm located in India...

Was sent by DHL POST... :/ No wonder it took so flippin long to get there... Now I can pick them up on my way home... Good times... Btw any folks here on this thread in the DBX?

I unfortunately agree with the first part. I've gotten to the point that I really don't feel comfortable ordering made in USA pairs online. Last time I did was the HTB's only because my local j Crew had stock. I ended up having to swap my pair out due to toebox dimples and the midsole wasn't completely glued to the upper.

I really want to jump on the 997.5 from Oneness but I've seen pairs that look like crap. Most pairs look like they used a midsole that's a half size too small.

I stopped buying New Balances that I liked because of these reasons.
