Out of purely nostalgia, I'd say the og TF cartoon was GOAT too, but do you know how hard it is to actually sit and watch most of the G1 episodes now?I'd say the OG X-men series still beats out B:TAS, but not by much. I can actually watch these shows today and not realize that I just peeped a 20 min toy commercial
yo I still watch the original animated movie on VHS when Optimus died and gave up the matrix and Hot Rod became Rodimus Prime. I still shed a tear and Im grown

If you're not familiar with the situation, the first waves of DC Collectibles' action figures based on Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures have come under a lot of fire from fans thanks to a multitude of problems with the strength of the joints in the figures - made from a weaker plastic, the tiny joints used for articulation in figures' wrists and ankles have been prone to snapping off the moment you try to move them. It's especially been a problem for the Batman figure: the top heavy, tiny-footed Bats is faithful to Timm's classic style, but has literally been snapping his own ankles under the pressure of his huge chest and upper body. Yeeowch. It's hard enough to get the figures to stand thanks to the smaller legs that are a trademark of Bruce Timm's designs, but the breakages have been an understandably sore point for customers - especially when each figure costs $25.
i dunno how the toy sales are but just think about how good the commercials were for them back in the 90s.It's a shame we don't have any great cartoon series like this anymore. This, Superman, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Spiderman, X-Men, Batman Beyond. I even liked the first Teen Titans cartoon. Recently we had Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Young Justice but of course they had to get cancelled.
I know people say cartoons get cancelled because of poor toys sales but that's such a crappy reason. Did cartoons depend on toy sales like that back in the day? Do kids still have their parents buy a lot of action figures and stuff? I would think video games and tablet games would be more in demand.
Those new cartoon you mentioned were garbage in every way. No mystery why they were canceled
Avengers was horrible from the animation to the story. Young justice was just American emo anime. Any "hey let's make them kids" shows suck.
Oh absolutely, but quality is quality. That new tmnt cartoon I can sit and watch with the kid just fine. Those 2 were just bad along with the new Spider-Man oneI think you are just aging out of the target demo.
