Killer Mike lists is Top 5 DOA

AZ

Killer Mike: AZ is the perfect hybrid of Jay-Z and Nas; he has all the swagga, the flavor and a damn good dresser. Nas is one of the sickest dressers in thegame and he has all the slickness and fly s**t of a Jay-Z of a Big Daddy Kane, of a Brookyn fly n***a. He has the mental of the Five Percent(ism) and theEgyptian mysticism of Nas or the Queens movement. I think AZ is on tier with Nas and Jay-Z, it's only because of beat selection and one producer producingthe whole album that he don't get his just due.

I don't think that anybody wants it with him and I don't think anybody wants it with anyone I named on this list. The s**t he says is justphenomenal, he use words like their women, words just bend themselves to dude, it's like they love him. I looked at the line when he said ni**gerycaligraphy. Who the f**k thinks to say that? When you think about gutter and ignorance, you think of the word n****r. When you think of beauty andopulence, you think of calligraphy. Who says I'm gonna put them on a date in the middle of my verse? That's why n****s don't want it with him.

If Jay-Z and Nas are the ying and yang, he is the lining in the circle that connects them. Dude is absolutely amazing!

Killer Mike suggests: Doe or Die or S.O.S.A (Save our Streets AZ)album.

Rest of the list

Its good to see a dude like Az get some love, yeah alot of cats always say he's boring blah blah but you can't front on him lyrically plus duke has asolid catalog. And on the style tip i remember having a Source mag and Az was one of the first cats rocking Lacoste before Jay and others helped to popularizedit, remember him rocking Iceberg velours way before Iceberg was poppin.

Killer Mike is a real scholar of hip-hop seems like the type of dude you could just sit down and discuss hip-hop all day with duke... not too many cats in thegame are actual scholars of hip-hop who can have immense conversations on various artists from various coasts

I can't really @!#% with his 5, I do think it's interesting that on a list with 3K he shouts out AZ for being well-dressed, but it's whatever.

Mike be on his **%! tho, he stay on his talk....Eminem will tell you where he got hisearlyflow from...

.

Why does everybody feel the need to give props AZ's fashion sense tho lol? No rapper has been morerespected for it,like fareal, its alwaysbrought up when his name is mentioned...

I agree with him 100% about AZ as an MC.

I can think of many more successful MCs can't think of 5 that are more skilled than A IMO...

I feel his list Im surprised Jay wasnt all thru there being it seems like every other interview he mentions him. He basically made a Big Broter 2.0 song

I agree with what he said about Em and Cee Lo. Cee Lo can out rap the best of them

i dont agree.... but i cant knock his list. he backed it up and made some good points... and i rock wit killer mike... he is that dude

I'm feeling his list. Dope how he compared 3 Stacks and Langston Hughes, who is probably my favorite poet. How he feels about AZ and Em is pretty muchsimilar to how I feel about them (nh).

I remember dudes throwing a **%@% fit when I said Cee Lo was on the same level as Dre earlier this year. Killer Mike is that dude, top 5 doing it rightnow IMO. Dude came extra on point with the 3000, Face, and AZ paragraphs.

For you bammas still sleeping on I Pledge Allegiance II wake the *$!* up, top 3 release of 2008.

Bang....Bang.........Bang

I'll give him scarface. Other than that the list is wack.

@ Cee-Lo. We "threw a fit" because you said he was "seeing ANY lyricist out now" not because you said he was on Dre's level. Thereare plenty of dudes on Dre's level.. he is overrated.

There are still plenty of people miles above Cee Lo as was pointed out.

You're either mistaking me for some one else or you're flat our wrong. You and others specifically said Dre would run circles around Cee lo, I came tohis defense. I don't remember the thread title, didn't it start off as something about Luda? I'll find it if I have to.

Cee-Lo is the $!%*#$! truth...
Not to many in HISTORY has had as much pure SPIT as Cee-lo

LOL.. Dumbest thing ever said on NT?

How so ? Strictly speaking on a lyrical level I can't think of anyone as overrated as Dre except maybe Jay-Z and Lupe.

and here's the thread: http://niketalk.com/topic/143754 Peep pages 4 and 5. Hazze said Cee Lo wasin their league (at his prime) and "Cee Lo could go bar for bar with any of them".

Here was the list mossman put up that I co-signed.:

Black Thought
Redman
Pharoahe Monch
Ras Kass
GZA
Elzhi from Slum Village
O.C.
Early Common from 94-2000
Chino XL
Lord Finesse
Brother Ali
Masta Ace

add in Vinnie & Jus at their primes, Pun, Esoteric, Canibus, Kool G... dozens more.

I still stand by everything I said in that post. Lyrically Cee Lo is on the same level and could hold his own bar for bar with each of the fallowing emcees asstated in that thread as well as Andre 3000:
Black Thought
Redman
Pharoahe Monch
Ras Kass
GZA
Elzhi from Slum Village
O.C.
Early Common from 94-2000
Chino XL
Lord Finesse
Brother Ali
Masta Ace

Which proves my original point.

I only disagreed with you saying Cee-Lo was seeing anyone on that list, not that he was seeing Dre, which in comparison is MUCH easier.
