First of all thank you for the pick. I really appreciate the comments so far and all the people that have checked in!!!!
Name: Midas
Age: 24
Location: Silver Spring, Md
Equipment: Reason 4.0, and Recycle (for the sampled tracks)
I have been producing seriously for 4 years now (getting paid for it) But I still love it like the day I made my very first beat.
Production Influences: Timbaland (he got me interested in the whole production aspect of hip hop), The Neptunes, Kanye West, Just Blaze, The Alchemist, Dilla,Premo.
Genre Influences: Classical music (Heavy), All Latin American Styles ( especially salsa, merengue, and cuban music), Jazz (big band - Glen Miller type, LatinJazz - Buena vista social club, Duke Ellington), Neo Soul...... I could go on and on but those are the main styles that really are a part of me.
Out of all the styles I produce I especially like the BIG Movie soundtrack type of beats. My favorite Composer is John Williams (jurrassic park, jaws,schindlers list, harry potter...............) If I can do for an artists song what his music does for movies than my job is done.
