what up nt, my black n chrome 8's are starting to lose a little life in the suede. i have read the care/maintenance post n understand u can use a littlebaby oil diluted with water to give it back some moisture. i just dont know the proportions. like 50/50, 70/30?? lol whats the best. lemme hear from someonewho has had good results with this method. thanks NT!!

i havent heard that one but it seems like it may work on the older jays ...........dont take my advice on this one though because im not sure but let me knowwhat happens

dont use it at all just have your local shoe repair man darken them up for you it worked on my black cat iv

Just use suede/nubuck cleaner then spray over with waterproofer. It'll darken up. I'm surprised you didn't see that in the care/maintenace thread. That's where I learned that method. All my black suede and nubuck shoes are black as ever. Hope that helps.

is the material similar to the playoff 8's?

if it is, buy suede/nubuck cleaner which will get most of the color back. if you want them to be really black, get a towel, and pour some baby oil on it (notalot). then, rub it all over the shoe. of you need further instructions, pm me...

I wouldnt put baby oil on them ,cause after awhile your 8's will be discolored ,
blacker in one area compared to other areas ,Id imagine theyll look worse then where they stand as they are now....

and a towel

^footlocker, footaction, finishline, etc. comes in a can and should run you about a little over $6.00 with tax. with any of my black suede/nubuck jordans, iusually clean my shoes in this manner. first i use a suede brush to get off all the dirt and dust on them, then use suede/nubuck cleaner, then finish off withthe waterproofer. you should see some sort of improvement over how they used to look. if your not satisfied with that, then definately use the baby oil/watermixture. can't go wrong with either way of restoring the suede/nubuck imo.

PIMPJOBU said it. either of those retail shoe stores should normally carry them. while your there youshould pick up a suede/nubuck brush so you can brush off dust, dirt, etc. before cleaning.
