What age did you/will you stop wearing Nikes?

The sooner the better. Hopefully, in a couple of years I won't have more than 2-3 pairs of Nikes.

I have too many now that I'll either try to sell or wear down to the ground.

I'm puzzled by people talking about being buried with their favorite sneakers. I would think there are more important things in terms of death then makingsure you get buried with "nice" sneakers on. That kind of loyalty is exactly what the big corporations want from people.

I'm in my mid twenties and I already feel stupid for wearing some of the kicks I have now. They are uncomfortable, get damaged easily, and cost so muchthat I'm worried about keeping them in good condition. This is the stuff that we care about. And a lot of retro J's are laughable, a big no no.

I'm at the point where the devotion people on NT show for sneakers is more absurd than hip. The majority of consumers don't question enough, and acceptway too much. For instance, people will shell out hundreds and hundreds of dollars for shoes that probably cost 1/20th of the retail price to make anddistribute to stores. Shoes used to last for years, now we're lucky to get 6 months out of them.

A couple of years ago, I didn't think I would ever stop. But after learning about corporations and their philosophies, shareholders, big business models, capitalism, outsourcing, trade agreements and labor laws, and how those things can affect the environment, the sneaker game seems more and more like a badthing.

I don't really see myself stopping but the colors will probably be toned down a bit. Probably won't be 45 wearing big apple lebron's, lol.

i'll quit buyin em when i'm 120 years old
i think i'd still buy shoes if i had no legs....

Not an old cat at all (24) yet I've noticed the older I've got the shift frommore of an athletic look (Air Penny) to more of a Dunk look myself. I could see Dunks being big in my years to come no doubt.

im 35, have slowed down alot, and sold alot of my collection which is mostly j's and le nikes that i never wear on ebay and to other members, butdon't think i will ever stop completely. i am alot more selective now. only buy stuff i really really like and want to wear/play ball in, instead ofcollecting just to collect or falling for these hypebeast releases. i used to wear alot of heat to work, but almost got my fresh j's vomited on andpee'd on, so i mostly wear my plain old black p-rods now. by the way, can someone hook a brotha up with the white/carolina tb bb1's size 12 or 12.5please????
sorry if my grammar is off, just had my achilles repaired today, and the pain meds are kickin in.

Well, this is hard for me to admit, but yes I am 40 now and still dig shoes. I really only got into shoes maybe 10 or 12 years ago trying to protect my kneesand play a lot of hoops. Now I have kids that are into shoes, plus I still play ball so I have no choice but to still be into them. In fact, as I've gottonolder, I have become very picky and can only wear some shoes, and they have to have zoom air for my sore feet.

I'm not a collector in the Niketalk sense, but my friends and family compare me to womens shoe collections. I have several pair of Black Kobe 1's thatI wear to work where I am on my feet a lot. Actually, I have a pair I hoop in and I also have worn them to church, although I still have a black pair ofTurbine's that work well for dress. I also have been hooping in some BB's in the over 30 league. Love the soft cushioning. If I'm going for a jog,I slip on my Vomero's.

Of course, I get my kids good deals on Lebron's and whatever else I can find. Plus, they'll get the shoes that never worked out for me. My son juststarted wearing some Operates that were too small and firm for me. It's fun checking their shoes out now.

I do kind of worry about looking like an old fart trying to look cool sometimes, but oh well, I'm just not into boring white New Balance. Hopefully, youyoung guys don't mind an old fart in your territory.

I plan to stay active as long as body lets me... so as long as im upright and exercising (even walking), i'll rock them.

it's a real good question....as i get older, i'll slow down with the purchases. (21 and have slowed down since high school). but to COMPLETELY stop?naw, never that lol

Possibly never, but as i get older i'm definitely moving away for the louder stuff.
I probably won't ever wear Foamposites, or anything with patent again.
