Hey NT, I am in need of a new gaming computer. I've narrowed it down to two computers. Either the Dell XPS 730x H2C or Alienware ALX X58. I am wonderingwhat you guys think is better and why. Please dont tell me to customize my own computer, because i do not have a lot of computer knoledge and dont want to riskit. I would really appreciate if you guys could tell me which one is a better choice and why becasue i have been saving up a long time and dont wanna mess up.

On a side note, would you guys go with the Liquid cooling?

Thanks everyone!

I think dell now owns alienware.....just look for the best hardware configuration , and possible future expandability....you want more RAM, more SPEED, biggerVIDEO CARD

i can't rmember the name of this but do u think its nicer then the xPS and Alienware?

blackbird is fully upgradeable, very few tools necessary. and i believe the tools you do need come hidden inside the case. but this thing is HUGE. like, sizeof a toddler

why not just build your own.

You can save a lot of money by building your own, saving probably up to thousands of dollar if you want the ultra high ends

If you don't know how to build your own, I can build one for you for a commission fee. Of course you will have to pay for shipping and stuff.

Blackbird is pricey, but a hell of a system that you can update as technology evolves.

or you can do that, you can buy the blackbird case straight from HP also. btw ^ you never answered my question as to why u stonefaced me for suggestingapple's router.

You can, but it isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world. Especially when switching out chips instead of cards/disks.

I saw some Blackbird vids also. It was basically plug and play with any component in that Case.

HP.com

EDIT: Looks like the blackbird is on some type of special order. Its not really advertised on HP.com nor Voodoopc.com

I was talking about "other systems." I've never seen anything to do with a blackbird, but I should look into it.

does it matter? the computer is upgradeable, you can probably get it cheaper and use the left over to upgrade it yourself. but if you want to go the buildingroute, you can buy the case from HP. or you can get a firebird 802 (or 803 if they still sell it) and have an "up to date" but non upgradeablesmaller version of a blackbird.

never said it was the best PC out there, but im guessing you are looking to spend 2k since you're looking at alienware right? BB is around your range andit's customizable. u always have HP's warranty.

ok so basically your (just soi get it) that the Blackbird is the best pc out there? and hows Velocity Micro?
