I'm aware, but if you want to have a debate or something about religion, make a separate thread about that. It wont kill you to let people enjoy this thread for what it is.

I used to burn..heavily...

I believe ALL fruits, vegetable, herbs, and spices and meant to help, heal, and strengthen. I believe God provided us all the ingredients, natural resources and wisdom for us to sustain ourselves and flourish... We honor God who dwells within us by taking care of our bodies, and not doing harm to it. (amongst loving Him above all and loving man as ourselves). In terms of marijuana, smoking it is bad. ( The actual act of inhaling any smoke of any kind) It harms your body so when we do it we aren't honoring God with our body by filling it with smoke, carcinogens, free radicals, and all.

I do think marijuana is a MEDICINE and its can be effectively cultivated for healing purposes such as teas, tinctures, balms, and in food.( Just learning about vaporizers, not fully sure how it all works so I cant speak on that just yet) There are clear scientific evidence to the array of benefits mj provides. I haven't found any verse that out right denounce marijuana use period. There are only 2 types of scripture that I have come across can be argued to condemn marijuana use:

Titus 3:1 - Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Romans 13:1-7 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

They both mean obey the laws put in place by the leaders of city, state, country. If its illegal, then don't do it. Submit to the law of the land as God puts/allows ppl to come into leadership positions.

Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Bible mentions sobriety a lot. Looked up the Hebrew word. Sober- sōphroneō so-fron-eh'-o From G4998; to be of sound mind, that is, sane, (figuratively) moderate: - be in right mind, be sober (minded), soberly.... So these are they two biggest arguments I have come across scripturally that CAN be used to denounce marijuana. They aren't exact, or direct and can be argued.

I'm really glad to find threads like this on niketalk. I am new to the forum but am glad to participate here as well as posting on wdywt.

I am going through John in my Bible study and there are many verses that stick out, this one in particular.

(John 5:24 NIV) I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believed him who sent me has eternal life, and will not be condemned; he has crossed over form death to life.
