i need help.
i never made an authentic grill cheese sandwich.
i just put cheese between two breads and put it in the toaster oven
to my dismay, i was told that was some ghetto sh*t

i was told it involved buttering the side of the breads and using a pan.
help me out

Use butter or margarine on the sides of the bread.
Toast one side of the bread.
Flip, put cheese on the toasted side
put one side on top of the other, so both cheeses are touching.
Grill until cheese is melted.

Sup.... Spread butter on one side of two pieces of toast.

Put a slice of cheese (or two) between the unbuttered sides of the toast.

To cook it, you can use a toaster oven, but I prefer using a frying pan. Just put the sandwich on there on medium heat until it starts to get golden-brown onone side and the cheese starts melting, and then flip it over and brown the other side.

this how we do it in the hood...

Throw a slice of butter in da skillet...let it bubble & what-not...then throw the first slice of bread on there...then put the
cheese on top and slide the bread around the skillet..then put the last piece of bread on top..then get you another slice of butter

and put it in the skillet & flip da sandwich and slide it around...then smother it

not hard, take a pan and put oil on it, put the breads on the pan, and fry it a bit, then put the cheese in and let it melt on it for awhile, then just put onslice over the other. done. bone appa teet

Supreme Grilled Cheese

1. Fry up some bacon. 4 slices will do. Keep grease in pan.
2. Get two pieces of bread. Preferably the wide white bread (not Wonder, but the $2.50 a loaf kind).
3. Get some mayo and mustard and lightly cover the bread like a regular sandwich.
4. Get some cheese. Pepper jack is choice. Make sure theres a good 1/4 inch layer laid across the bread.
5. Get a couple pieces of deli sliced ham, and put on top of the cheese.
6. Put the pieces of bread together. Don't butter the outer sides.
7. Fry in bacon grease on medium heat until brown, flip and repeat.
8. Enjoy.

I usually use a 2 cast iron pans and heat both then butter both sides of the bread and I always use grated cheese not sliced (melts much better). Next placethe sandwich between the two and let the weight of the cast iron pan on top do the work.
