5 years ago: AJ RETRO 2 - still wearing 'em, NT?

Had the Black/Chrome's, the Melo's & these.
Now I just got these.
Dope but I wish they took that stripe off the side & made em more like the OG's.

Aside from the CDP 11/12 and the grape V this was one of the hardest J's I ever got. I stood in line at 5:30 AM, at a footaction in a local mal in Cali. 4th in line, still didn't get my size. Got in my car and went to a low key sneaker boutique in LA that always has pairs but doesn't open till close tonoon. Called my boss and told him I couldn't come into my shift cause my back was hurting and had to go see a chiropractor asap. Got to the sneakerboutique 1st in line at 10:00 am, waited around a bit, got my kicks, wore them the next day. Haven't worn them in the last 2 years but they still fresh. I got some of that yellow too, but its all good. I would have bought the 2's in the CDP pack, but I really wasn't feeling the 21's that came withthem.

Back in 1991, I was 12 years old and had my Dee Brown Reebok Pumps stolen at a swimming pool. My older cousin let me borrow an old pair of his sneakers thatwould fit me. They were OG II's. At first I ddin't even believe they were jordan's. I hadn't seen any J's prior to the IV's so I wasunfamiliar with the wings logo. Keep in mind this was 1991, 5 years before the internet would pop up in schools, libraries and homes and 3 years before theII's would be retroed for the 1st time. In any event I wore the J's for a week until my Grandma would by me a new pair of kicks. I still rememberthis kid who was a friend of another cousin's of mine with the Nike TW's clowining me for the kick's.
 
Copped about 4 pairs (2 for me), on release day. Still rocking my first pair to date.
 
I had them but ended up sellin them cuz my pair was really yellowed in the back....I still have my blk/chrome,lowtop wht/red,and lowtop wht/blue(which arestill ds)
 
I still have my black and chromes funnny thing is my mother bought my pair when I was in military school and sent the reciept with a letter she wrote me.
 
I like em but I have too many white/black kicks so I'm gonna get rid of them. I'm still goin to hang on to my CDP IIs, haven't even tried those onyet. Crappy weather in NY, cant wait till summer.
 
havent wore the white based CW in a while but still in the hunt for the chrome CW sz 8

I've only worn the wht and red ones about 5 time, the Melo's probably been rocked twice. They are my favorites, I need the black ones though.....
 
WOW it's been 5 years already?

i remember i bought them due to hype...but they did look really clean and casual with jeans and pretty light and comfortable. i beat them out...definatelydon't miss it though. i wouldn't mind having the white/navy low's for the summer though.
 
Damn 5 years already .. TIME flys man .... I still have my pair and rock them time to time ... Heel is a bit yellowed but its all GOOD .... they still DOPE .
