I have a habit of taking good care of everything that I own.

Yeah, it's just a $15 brush BUT that's the way that I was brought up.

If you wish to use your brush as a drum stick, ball bat, etc. then that's your choice.

As for me, I like to use what I bought for its main purpose but keep it looking next to new.

It's not that I'm extra careful w/ my belongings...It's more of a characteristic thing embedded in me.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

More than likely, Yes.

These brushes have started to become OG status about 2 yrs. ago.

Last one is definely a New School Diane brush. You can tell by the play school script used on the handle.

Correct. The top 2 are the newer versions with the bristles much closer. Also, the Diane name label is at the end of the og brushes.

No. Those new versions are the 1st editions of this all new Diane style. So you have the Og's like the mahogany 8119 that come in gold boxes and bags like the softy someone posted not too long ago. From there it looks like they went to the blue/black/white boxes. Those are the ones that we all consider the og with the disclaimer of "not mahogany".
3rd they have the same boxes but that's when they changed the bristles and the handles as well. The one you just posted comes after that. Think I got them all. Lol

I hear you I have OG in all the military style brushes from diane, i hope my 1st new editions brushes aren't the same as the most current ones

I'll post pics of what all og Diane brushes look like tomorrow. I have each style in all three firmness and I have the soft, medium and hard that were made at the time the mahogany 8119s were made in the 9" wave brushes.

I just have some whatever double sided brush I picked up from Sally's a few years ago
