NT, is calculus hard?

that *$*% was hard for me in hs, I shoulda failed honestly. On one of my exams I got a 10 out of 100, the majority of my exam grades where bellow 60 and 70 waspassing. Thank God I'm psych major so I dont have to know calc or most math

Signed up for AP Cal for next yr

Take it in the morning, it'll be a lot easier. At least for me it was. I slept in class, but I did my homework and studied and never received anythinglower than a 93 on the exams. Stats on the other hand is hard. If you want to make it easier, you can take it in the summer where the courses are shortened. Most teachers will just teach you the basics cause they want to leave too.

as long as it ain't applied...
QFTMFT

Limits - pretty easy

Derivatives - kinda easy (you have to learn the long way before you learn the shortcut)

Implicit Differentiation -

Who you telling? I have to withdraw because the class was so hard. That's why I have to take Calc instead.

Stats harder than calc? all you do in stats is push buttons on the calculator all day. Easily the most boring easy class ever!

Wait, what? Limits is the EASIEST part of calculus to me. The hardest part is those damn anti-derivatives.
smh.gif
i hated limits and derivatives.
but i hated anti derivatives even more.. a lot of stuff in calculus is linked with material you learned before so if you ever fall behind.. your done lol

calc I is pretty easy except for curve sketching
calc II is awful
calc III is easy
diff eq is beat, but not as bad as calc ii

You know what's hard? Linear Programming. Especially if you have a prof who teaches the course at 5 times the difficulty (and 5 times the coverage) of anyof the other profs. That guy sucked

Absolutely ruined 1 semester of 3rd year for me.

Implicit differentiation is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Related rates, though...

Improper Integrals is something I still don't get, especially improper integrals to type 2.

it all depends on the professor. I frikin hated calc because my prof thought she was teaching calc vii or some _ like that

Stats is wayyyyyyyyyyyy easier than Calc . Statistics is like Algebra I in HS .

I would have gotten an A in that class , but I forgot to wake up & take the final , so I ended up with a B.

Statistics is basic Math though .

Of all the math I've ever taken, I hated statistics. It wasn't that it was hard, rather it was quite alot of work with alot of numbers. And I suck atprobability

. Sure I learned alot of useful stuff but I guess I'm just more of an algebra person. Calculus classes at my school:

Calc 1 = Pretty much AP Calc but more in depth
Calc 2 = Series, then Linear Algebra which was easily one of my most loathed classes.
Calc 3 = Vector Calculus, easy for the first 3 months, then I get hit with spherical coordinates and line integrals

Diff EQ = I had a grad student who went easy on us, but I felt kind of bad for my friends that had actual professors. Still pulled off an A though

. ODEsweren't that bad, and Laplace transformations was only bad when we had to use integration by parts (trial and error ftl), otherwise, just use the tables.

One thing I wished we covered were eigenvalues and eigenvectors. I've forgotten most of them and I know sooner or later I'm going to get owned by them.
