'Pac & Big are the first people I think of regarding hip-hop during the 90's, but what about this decade?

I was originally going with Hov, but after further thought, IMO Kanye West is this decade's face of hip-hop.

College Dropout/Late Registration are arguably the greatest hip-hop albums of this decade, both appealing to hip-hop heads and the mainstream market.

No one has a more consistent discography then him, 00-present.

Prove me wrong...

...........Jay-Z

Jay Z easily.

I could see Kanye but he wasn't even crazy mainstream popular until like '05.

If the Diplomats never broke up and stayed on a Roc-A-Fella that never broke up, it'd probably be them.

how can that be true thou if The Blueprint> than any of his albums?

Add on to that American Gangster, TBA, and even BP2 and Jay wins

Yeah, Blueprint >>> Anything 'Ye released.
But, I don't see American Gangster, TBA or BP2 being better than CD or LR

I dunno man, if you REALLY think about the last 10 years... I mean REALLY think about it. Ye's my dude but Jigga finishedup the 90s string then took that momentum RIGHT into the new millennium.

You're trippin.

To be the face of hip-hop, you have to be popular all over the US, not just NY

the Dips are cool, but they weren't that big over here, unlike Kanye who's been in the national spotlight since about 05.

Ay the Dipset was very well known. I'm from the Chi & Cats use to bump the Dips so heavy it wasn't even funny

Jay-Z FTW by far. In this decade he's done everything that Biggie and Pac did. I mean yes 50 dominated this world with GRODT in 03', Kanyes had somehuge moments too, and even Wayne has had huge shine from 05 till now. But Hov Is definatley this decades face of Hip-Hop.

jay-z had it.....

hate it or love it
and the dude is only 26 ....he's been around for a minute and by the looks of it he'll be here for a looooooooooooooooooong time
