But Wayne been on top of thegame 2 years we talking the decade you clowns. 50 was the face for like 2 years. Em was missing half the decade. Outkast? They make good music but they arentthe face of any damn thing. Diplomats had they're run but once the ROC broke up most of the world forgot about them that movement wasnt as wide spread assome of you may think. Jay was on top of the world at the beginning of this decade. Sold out madison square. Came out with fade to black. Had one of the bestalbums in 07 and is building a huge buzz for Blueprint 3. Don't see how it could be anyone but him

when I think 90s.....I think Trib/De La and 2pac/Nas/Biggie

when I think 2000's.........I think Jay, 50, Em and Kanye.........

True
Fixed again.

Dame was the first one who actually let Ye get on the mic.

Jay wasn't trying to hear him until Dame put him on.

And all of Kanye's features on Jay's albums were uncredited...

Hook on "Never Change"
Verse on "The Bounce"
etc.

Hov..Ye....T.I.......50....

Next decade....
Weezy.....Drizzy....

500th post...took me 8-9 years of lurking and finally joining a few years ago to get this far...1000 here we come!!!

i'm sayin, ya'll frontin like the Dips didn't have the world on lock in 02-03. If the Roc woulda never broke up, the Dips would have had access toall the tools and resources to change the game and I Can't Feel My Face would probably exist and you would've seen alot more Up North / Down Southcollabo tracks coming out of NY.

The answer is Kanye tho....when you look at who's gonna be remembered the most, add that with accomplishments, and the quality of music, itsKanye, easy.

Him & Just Blaze pretty much changed what you thought was a "good" beat with the Blueprint, produced a string of classics afterwards (from #1 HitSingles to backpack rap classics), carried that to CD, which is the best album since it dropped. He's definitely the most outspoken & controversial, talked about from outside of the rap world, etc. His span ranges from '01-to-now...

I was just about to say this and YE had the best verse on da track.
Jay didnt want Yezzy to shine.

Jay had it but lost it, Em's name shouldnt even come up cuz he's been M.I.A for awhile now.

Weezy/ Yezzy got the the biggest buzz right now and theres only a year and change left for this decade.

Please...Wayne been hot for 18months..

Impact wise I'd say Kanye. He changed the game imo...

Its not Jay, he was the face of hip-hop from Hard Knock Life to The Black album, that was mid-90's to early 00's, but he aint have an actual decade. Most of his accomplishments this decade came from the business side...

and Em is almost in a different lane, its hard to rank dude. Wayne only been really hot for about 2 years.

Kanye's run was from the very top of the decade to now, really cant say that about anybody else...

Eminem until Encore released. He's gonna take that spot back soon though. Ye and Jay been holding it down while he's been gone.

How is it not Jay. Been the hottest in the 2000's for the longest. Blueprint changed the way people make albums.
