The kid seemed to have went along with this whole debacle. It was the old man raping him, the kid was like, "Okay, I get a pair of sneakers if I like thisguy go down on me. Sure, whatever."
I bet by the end of it, the old man did not want to do it anymore, out of guilt or a lack of money, and the kid went and ran to the police.
I'm not saying the old man is innocent here in the LEAST. He should be trailed and jailed. But this kid isn't innocent at all either.
