Call me bored... call me old... but dont tell me they aren't just being Stubborn. BP.. 1 & 12.. anyone.. Can you show em how its done.

A Simple Concept. Since the Hyperize is just the Next Gen Hyperdunk.. why not create something thats Uber Responsive since you made the Hypermax for the Guysasking for something more Firm for their game. whats so difficult about submitting to us what you missed on the Zoom BB's.

A FULL Zoom Hyperlite? Anyone with me? Lunar Poo Poo. Forefoot Zoom? Poo Poo.

Hyper Upper... Beautiful. Lebron Upper? Beautiful. In my opinion. Give us that famous E.A. Outrigger and Full Zoom. Please... like you do for theplayers.......

Thats why Nike is Nike....they very well know that a zoom cushioned flywire based basketball shoe would be WAY too nice. They're gonna make us wait for it.They're gonna make us beg for it. They're gonna make us petition for it. And when the hype is right, they'll drop it. Probably in some poopoocolorways, and make us beg for iD, PE's or some better colorways. EA's gootta have something in his back pocket for us. But Nike's just gonna teaseus for a bit first and thats where I feel your frustration!

Rock, what type of Lebron upper are you referring to? Is it anything specific?

And what pattern is the EA outrigger? Did I miss something?

If Nike released a shoe with Full Length Zoom and a super light upper? It would probably be the next basketball shoe I buy to play in...and possibly buy it forclose to or retail price.

A lot of people would, myself included. But thats the thing, how would they sell shoes the year after? What gimmick would they come up with toconvince most of the market that after a year, "these" shoes are better than "those"? I think Nike will hold off on a perfect shoe likethat until theyre ready to push some new "amazing" technology like that lunar garbage. By then the casual consumer will think the new tech is latestand greatest and will overlook what we've been waiting for.

^^Brotha can dream fool.. a brotha can dream.

Its just a shame that they do it for some players who dont like the Lunar and for the power players they did the Max.... Shame...

I think it's inevitable (full Zoom and flywire)... they aren't going to shoot their load 2 years into flywire tech, though. In time I'm sure yourdream will come true.

I know who wears my size and where his stuff sits on Campus...lol Im makin a call. Go Scoop.

You make a good point and I recognize what you're saying. But despite all the sneakerheads around the world, or people who play basketball that areknowledgeable about shoes, I think the majority of people may buy the shoe, and wear it out. Maybe they buy another pair if they really enjoy the shoe. Butonce the next season comes around with new shoes, they will buy the next shoe that they like.

Sole you are right. There USED to be a time when there wasn't just a season of shoes, and Nike would actually re-release it or re-stock. Now its calledRetro and for all good performance shoes, we have to wait.

To tell me you will intentionally wait to release the perfect Performance shoe at retail and only leave it for your players to wear, makes no sense, but ofcourse Im not surprised. I've sat there and listened to many things in person that didn't make sense lol....

But alas.. Nike is trying to NOT be in the same place other Footwear places are in the Basketball field. They want to be ABOVE water.

...and yeah I agree with Rocky... we don't want performance sneakers with Lunar in it!!!

semi off topic, but why do some shoes, particularly trainers only utilize zoom cushion in the heel?

if i'm not mistaken the air zoom phenom also uses heel zoom

Laziness. Cost cutting.

The way I see it is, if you can do a price point of $110 on the BB1... no frills.. just straight BBall shoe. You want a person to pay more for poo poo Lunar orLunar Lite?

I chuckle.

cost cutting? really? i thought it actually served a function..

how much $$$ are they saving if they only implement heel opposed to full length zoom?

Dollars mean alot when it comes to shoe costs. You should see Price break downs from Laces to lace hole cover or lace tips. The cents add up my man. Imaginewhat that would mean to having Full vs Forefoot Zoom. In Nikes eyes.. they say everyone needs a different platform which is true.

I agree.. but your best performance shoes need your best performing technology. Period.

Cheapness is always the bottom line.

But to be above water do they really need to trot out Lunar in a shoe that, given what it will be used for, is going to put a lot of impact on the cushioning?

My take: Zoom Air is not, to use a colloquialism, "sexy" anymore. When it first came out, people (my 11 year old self included) were very excited. But now, it's been 13 or 14 years, and while Zoom is still, in my opinion, Nike's best option for cushioning, it's no longer something they cansell their shoes on. That is, it's great, but it's been around so long, that it's not new and it's no longer a selling point. They tried tore-package and market Zoom for the BB1 release, but for whatever reason (probably because they had like 8,000 other things they were pushing harder than Zoom),it didn't take, and now it's just the solid but un-sexy tech.

With the Hyperdunk, that shoe had enough going for it than to throw Lunar in there. I'm not sure why they didn't use Zoom, though it's probablybecause they didn't wear test Lunar enough and thought it'd be sufficient. Well, we don't want sufficient...we want something that cushions ourfeet. That Nike continues to ignore the deficiencies of Lunar for the Hyperlite after a year of people complaining about it is unbelievable. The Hyperdunkssold really well, right? But that doesn't mean that people liked the performance...it means that Nike pimped the shoe harder than any other this year andreleased more exclusives than any of the others and sneakerheads snapped them up.

Is Lunar that much cheaper to produce? (It can't be.) Is Zoom that much heavier? (Nope.) So what the hell is going on? Why can't Nike understandthat it's not a failure if people don't like a certain tech? They tried something and most people didn't like it in a basketball shoe; thatdoesn't mean it's terrible or that they blew it. It just means that this tech probably isn't for basketball shoes. Nike learned something from itand that knowledge has value, now move on.

(BTW, I know most think Lunar is garbage, but is that the common thought? Have people, in high [NBA] and low [average Joe] places complained? Have peopleliked Lunar in the running shoes? I know most aren't using them for running, but still, it can't have been a popular tech. I've never had my feethurt so bad as the day that the Lunar went on me in Hyperdunks.)

Durning... To answer some of those questions..

Did players complain? Yes.. Imagine some NTers.. who are not the classic Focus Group Consumers complained and they barely meet the specs of an NBA player..This is why the Hyper Upper is now being utilized for the Max Air Concept. Those guys were goin thru shoes like no ones business. But they also have ALOT morepairs at their disposal and could rotate them.

Is Lunar Cheap to produce? You do notice they give you that packing Popcorn for free right in your packages with delicate items....well Lunar is basically thesame CRAP. I took my exception with Lunar and asked an ACTUAL Astronaut. Paul Lockhart. I do consulting work for him. Google or Wiki him. He's been to theMoon. He giggled and I almost became embarrased I bought up the subject and asked about its use and how Nike touted it.

By the way.. Full Zoom Bags are in fact more expensive than Heel just putting a bag in either heel or forefoot. I know it sounds crazy.. but after researchingand getting a tutorial at Nike.. I understood more why.

As for Zoom being a fail for the Zoom BB1. it was because Nike failed its own Product by releasing it in those horrible colors trying to make it a lifestyleperformance shoe. So its greatness got lost in translation.

You don't put Daewoo Interior in a Bentley. So why put Poo Poo Materials and Colors on the BB1? *sigh* A losing Battle.. All I gotta say is when Nike BBloses the BB and Nike Sportswear aka Retro gets it.. Look out...
