If you go stay in Atlantic beach (rooms probably all booked by now) ...myrtle beach will be filled with too many non riders causing trouble

Think they're stepping police up big time in mb this year after all the shootings last year. They're doing traffic differently too

I heard they did Laughlin different to with a line a mile long to get in because the police were stopping everybody before going in. IDK if it's true though.

All Gixxers from the '06 model up to the '12 are my personal favorites. The only bikes that look better than any of those are a select few Ducattis imo.
Really? I think the fairings on those are so weird. Ive posted this before but this is still da gawd GSXR

Been wanting an R6 for a while, then sat on a 636 the other day.

Im torn :smh:
Get the 636
The low end is much nicer for scooting around town.
I havent ridden an R6 since like 07 so i dont know if the newer gen isnt as peaky.
If you go R6 look into -1/+2
Makes a world of difference
I have it on my CBR

What helmets you guys rocking this season? I used a Scorpion Exo 500 and a Bell RS1 that i got on closeout last season. Looking for something new this year. Im cutting my hair soon so my old helmets wont fit. Prev lids before those were RF1000 and a Bell Star. Both were fantastic. Def the best 2 helmets ive ever worn. Thinking about just grabbing another Bell since i dropped the bread on the photochromic shield already but i like to experiment.

Back when I was on the Suzuki DRZ I had some cheap AGV.

Just picked up a Shoei GT Air and I LOVE it. Picked it up with 10% off, came out to around 500. Got the gloss black and I already put the pin lock on it. Couldn't be happier. Rode up to San Francisco (cause women are still crazy). I was hitting 90+ on 101 North and the helmet was surprisingly quiet and real comfortable. No fogging whatsoever with the pin lock. :pimp: Looking for some cool stickers to put on it.

Does this sound right for insurance?

New rider 26 y/o no tickets or accidents, MSF course taken, Motorcycle license, Phoenix, AZ quotes from 600-1k+ A MONTH...cheapest I found was state farm at 219/month

2015 Honda CBR600RR

I'm not too knowledgable on insurance, but that does sound like a lot.

I'm 19, no points on my record, MSF course, M1 license, San Jose, CA and mine is something like $52 a month with that $97 down payment for full coverage on an '87 FXR.

Just a heads up to any Bay Area NTers, Road Rider in San Jose is having an event called brain day (or something like that) where all of the helmet vendors are going to be there and giving discounts on their products.

How do you guys lock up your helmets on your bikes when you're away from them? I just bought a helmet lock that goes onto the handlebar and the D ring on the helmet although I'm afraid of somebody coming by with a knife and taking it. I know the helmet won't do them any good, but people are crazy.

$219 a month isn't bad for a brand new bike. Insurance for bikes are usually out the ***, especially if it's brand new.

I always carry my helmet with me.

That insurance quote sounds about right. When I got Chanel a few years back I saw some crazy quotes. State Farm is so I'm with.

All my helmets are expensive. I always carry my lid.

usually the older the bike and style, the cheaper...i have an 06 SV650 and since its a standard model thats nine years old, my monthly amount is $52...

Went to an actual state farm location instead of calling for a quote and got 158/month. Definitely happier with the price! I know its still a lot more than what people pay but a lot better than all the other quotes I got.

Any ideas on how long it usually takes for my premium to go down if i stay ticket and accident free?

You'll have to have a few accident free years. Even still, don't expect much. State Farm rates are based on the age and CCs your bike has.

Hey guys,

Found a 2012 FZ6R w/ 2,000 miles for $4500 on CL. Is this a good deal? Going to look/test drive the bike on Friday morning. What should I look for? Don't want to get duped into a problem bike.

Reps for the help.

It's a steal. I would jump on it. U could resell n make money on it if anything.
Sinces its practically new it should be easy to tell if it's been hoed out. I would just take it to the Yamaha dealer if u are not familiar or u don't have any good friends that are well versed with bikes.
Also be careful of the CL schemes on there. Sometimes it's too good to be true.
Good luck

Thanks. I'm hoping the guy doesn't sell it before I check it out.

There is a dealer not to far from where I live. I'll take it there after the transaction is done. Although owning a bike for a few months I think I know what signs to look for.

It does sound too good to be true. But this guy lives in a rich part of town and he said he has 4 other bikes that rides more. Maybe I'm getting lucky.

Appreciate the help fam. Update in the next couple days.

He said FZ6R. You posted an R6. Not the same thing.

Damn, brand new

yeah man! I love it! I was a bit hesitant riding it when i got it a couple days ago. Only rode it around the neighborhood but today I went out on the street with traffic and did pretty good considering the only experience riding I had was during my MSF course a couple weeks ago.
