Equus starts at around $96,000, putting it squarely up against such high-dollar machinery as the Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Lexus LS and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Hyundai knows it's not ready to swim with the whale sharks of the luxury world, so it's hoping to get the sticker closer to $50,000 when equipped with the automaker's 5.0-liter V8 and new eight-speed transmission.

It's pretty damn expensive in it's homeland but if they could get at that 50k range with all the options plus MORE than the other car makes above, could Hyundai become the premier luxo player in the game? I think look wise it can compete, but who would pay 50k for a Hyundai? To bad it's not gonna seestateside for at least another 2 years though.

The more and more I look at it, I see a M45, G35, Lexus LS460, Lexus GS300,

, when itcomes to Hyundai it's the "what car do I see in it" game

, still not badon the eyes though.

It's like they took all the good stuff from the cars mentioned in the title and put them in one car. Looks good...

thats all they ever do.

take bits and pieces from other car companies................thats why i cant really respect them even if they turn out good looking.

Wow...I don't know if $96,000 is an acceptable price point. But, the car has a great, great exterior. The interior is just ok for a luxury import sedan. Itlooks like a late model Toyota on the inside.

since they've added a new logo, they shoulda just scrapped the hyundai name and started from scratch.
car is sick tho, i bet it has dope features, car companies like this tend to overcompensate in order to 'catch up' with the competition.

if they priced it at 30k it would be the #1 car in the streets imo

this brand is getting ahead of itself imo

The front end is a bit too gaudy and the front interior looks average. Maybe at $45-50k it'll sell. Genesis > Equus.

BTW, Genesis > Lexus ES/GS.
