Yep, my aunt put me on to Ethiopian music ever since I was little. As well as some West African (Ghanaian, Nigerian, Liberian) music. I can't understandfully what they say, but the music is still nice.

Yup.

Oddly enough I was listening to Roche by Sébastien Tellier when I came across this thread.

Also, I don't speak Portuguese but I like Buraka Som Sistema.

Mostly Japanese because of the guitar players and hip-hop beats and stuff. I don't discriminate based on whether it's understandable to me or not.Haven't gotten much into it but I'd probably be into checking out some music from other countries also. And I don't mean world music since Ihaven't really heard any of those artists that appealed to me.

Sometimes I get bummed on English music because the lyrics are so stupid though especially when the song gets popular.

Old country is good. Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Chet Atkins. I don't volunteer that I like country since a lot of people will think that I mean all that newcrap.

Same with Hawaiian music. Slack key and Israel K. yes but not all this terrible Jahwaiian pesudo reggae with a ukulele crap they keep churning out.

I think it's silly when people try to pull that argument against you when it's not like lyrics in English are always intelligible (or intelligent)anyway.
