With all this extra stressin
The question I wonder is after death after my last breath
When will I finally get to rest through this suppression
They punish the people that's askin' questions
And those that possess, steal from the ones without possessions
The message I stress: to make it stop study your lessons
Don't settle for less, even the genius asks his questions
Be grateful for blessings
Don't ever change, keep your essence
The power is in the people and politics we address
Always do your best, don't let this pressure make you panic
And when you get stranded and things don't go the way you planned it
Dreamin' of riches in a position of makin' a difference
Politicians and hypocrites they don't wanna listen
If I'm insane it's the fame made a brother change
It wasn't nothing like the game
It's just me against the world

This is a nice verse from Pac. But he has so many songs that I love it's hard for me to decide which verse is best. 2pac is the greatest dead or alive.

hard to say, so many good ones, Changes has some nice verses and all his positive songs have great verses, this is a personal favorite of mine from Still IRise:

Somebody wake me I'm dreaming, I started as a seed in semen
Swimming upstream, planted in the womb while screaming
on the top, was my pops, my momma screaming stop
From a single drop, this is what they got
Not to disrespect my peoples but my poppa was a loser
Only plan he had for momma was to $@%# her and abuse her
Even as a little seed, I could see his plan for me
Stranded on welfare, another broken family
Now what was I to be, a product of this heated passion
Momma got pregnant, and poppa got a piece of %$$
Look how it began, nobody gave a $@%# about me
Pistol in my hand, this cruel world can do without me
How can I survive? Got me asking white Jesus
will a %$@$% live or die, 'cause the Lord can't see us
in the deep dark clouds of the projects, ain't no sunshine
No sunny days and we only play sometimes
When everybody's sleeping
I open my window jump to the streets and get to creeping
I can live or die, hope I get some money 'fore I'm gone
I'm only 19, I'm trying to hustle on my own
on the spot where everybody and they pops trying to slang rocks
I'd rather go to college, but this is where the game stops
Don't get it wrong 'cause it's always on, from dusk to dawn
You can buy rocks glocks or a herringbone
You can ask my man he's a mind reader
Keep my nine heated all the time this is how we grind
Meet up at the cemetery then get smoked out, pass the weed N
That Hennessey'll keep me keyed N
Everywhere I go N holla at me, "Keep it real G"
And my reply till they kill me
Act up if you feel me, I was born not to make it but I did
The tribulations of a ghetto kid, still I rise

I always thought lyrically "If I Die Tonight" 1st verse was some of his best work..

They say #%%#! and paper is poetry power and pistols
Plottin on murderin #%!+!+!$@$%%% 'fore they get you
Picturin pitiful punk !@++%+ coppin pleas
Puffin weed as I position myself to clock G's
My enemies scatter in suicidal situations
Never to witness the wicked %%%+ that they was facin
Pockets is packed with presidents, pursue your riches
Evadin the playa hatin tricks, while hittin switches
#%$#!+# is bad-mouth, cause brawlin #%!+!+!$@$%%% is bold
But y'all some %%*!, the game should be sewed
I'm sick of psychotic society somebody save me
Addicted to drama so even mama couldn't raise me
Even the preacher and all my teachers couldn't reach me
I run in the streets and puffin weed wit my peeps
I'm duckin the cop, I hit the weed as I'm clutchin my glock
!@++%+ is hot when I hit the block, what if I die tonight

True, Pac's got so many great songs with great messages, but in my honest opinion that last verse on Me Against The World was hands down the best. Versesfrom tracks like Changes, Keep Ya Head Up, Thugz Mansion, like dude said Still I Rise, you name it they all have great verses but I've gotta say this topsevery single one of 'em. The message is so real, it shows you how the world really is.

That verse from MATW is the best in my book. Pac basically fit his whole plan/mindset into that one verse.

Ambitionz Az A Ridah (1st Verse)
California Love (just the energy and everything combined and what was going on are crazy to me)
So Many Tears (1st Verse)
Starin Through My Rearview (off the Tupac Resurrection Soundtrack)
Hail Mary (still gives me chills)

Those 2 come to mind first for me but are in no way his best verse's. Way too many to pick.

1st verse on "Picture Me Rollin"
The whole "Words Of Wisdom"
Rear view (Not the version on the album)
1st verse on "Smile"

But my all time favorite:
"Life of an Outlaw."

exactly. the rest of this crap in this post is juvenile. no disrespect, just a well versed opinion of/for those who recognize real Pac when they heard him.

juvenile dogg? for real? how is that verse any more realer than most of the #!%$ posted on here?

My personal favorite Pac song is "My Block" from The Show Soundtrack. Probably the realest @@@$ I've ever heard anyone say on a rap track. Andnot just one verse--the entire track the guy comes correct just spittin some real life stuff.

^ Definitely. Its sad that in general, people want to hear something else. Just look at his range of topics from his first album to his last.

Court cases keep me guessing, plea bargain ain't an option now,
So I'm stressing, cost me more to be free than a life in the pen
Making money off of cuss words, writing again
Learn how to think ahead, so I fight with my pen
Late night down Sunset liking the scene
What's the worst they could do to a ***** got me lost in hell
To live and die in LA on bail, my angel sing

This song is just too chill...

This is probably my favorite:

Murder, Murder my mind state
%$%@ ain't changed since my last rhyme
The crime rate ain't declined
*#$*$@ busting shots like they lost they minds
Like 25-2-Life never crossed they mind
Tell me young %%#!# never learned a thing
Dead at 13 cuz he yearned to bang
Sent alot of flowers
But how could I cry?
Tried to warn the little %%#!#
Either stop or die
Mercy is for the weak
When I speak I scream
Afraid to spleep
I'm having crazy dreams
Vivid pictures of my enemies family times
God forgive me cuz its wrong
But I plan to die
Either take me in heaven
And understand I was a G
Did the best I could raised in insanity
Or send me to hell
Cuz I ain't begging for my life
Ain't nothing worse than this cursed ##% hopeless life
I'm troublesome

Pac's first verse on Pain is probably a real close second, then you got Changes, and all the verses posted above
laugh.gif
. #*@+, I can't pick. Pac had so many verses that made me go
eek.gif
because the passion he spit on all of them.

i like the verse you pointed out. especially "even a genius has his questions, be greatful for blessings. dont ever change keep your essence" causesometimes i feel like a questioned filled genius...

How could I forget Words 2 My First Born
eek.gif
specifically the version onUntil the End Of Time, that knockin beat that had them other dudes rappin on it

Hehehe, these are my words to my first born..

Can you picture, young %*%$+@ in a rush to grow
til hard timers in the pen, had to crush his throat
Probably never even saw it comin - too busy **@+##$!%@*
Caught him with his mouth runnin; ain't this a #+!+@
They got me twisted in this game
The feds and the punk, po-lice pointin pistols at my brain
I wonder if I'm wrong cause I'm thugged out
My homies murdered execution style runnin in the drug house
what was supposed to be a easy hit - now $%$% is flipped
cause %*%$+@ died over @##%%$#$ - it's not my dream
I'm seein pictures of a broken man, no witnesses
Only the questions of who smoked the man, young adolescents
in our prime live a life of crime, though it ain't logical
We hobble through these tryin times, livin blind
Lord help me with my troubled soul
Why all my homies had to die 'fore they got to grow?
And right before I put my head on the pillow, say a prayer one love
to the thugs in heaven I'll see you there
It's written for the young and dumb that wasn't warned
Help you make it through the storm
My words to my first born, feel me

.. My words to my first born
.. My words to my first born

Since my very first day on this earth, I was cursed
So I knew, that the birth of a child would make my life worse
And though it hurt me there was no distortion
Cause wild seeds can't grow, we need more abortions
Quiet your soul, cause you know what you had to do
And so did victims of a world they never came to
I understand it's a better day comin
Sometimes cats be sleepin on the dead end
drivin with the car runnin blinded
Ain't no love in the hood only hearts torn
Love letters to the innocent and unborn
All the babies that died up on the table
Wasn't able to breathe, cause the family wasn't able
Can't - blame her I would do the same
All I could give it was my debt and my last name
Cause in the game things change livin up and down
This hard life got me walkin with my head down
Flashin frowns wasn't meant to be, was I wrong?
But I'll never get to know, so I carry on
It's written for the young and dumb that wasn't born
My words to my first born, feel me

.. My words to my first born
.. Mmm! (Yeah) These are the words to my first born
.. Hey **+@* talk to your born, talk to your seed **+@*

What you gon' tell your kids **+@*?
Who was you? What was you doin? How did you put it down?
These my words to my $!%%#%@%#*%* first born
so they can know, y'knahmean? Hehehe
Ain't nuttin but a $!%%#%@%#*%* rider, Wessyde 'til I die
That's all it was, it's a crooked-*!% hand they deal a @@@$%%*@%$+%
I just played to win, just played to win
@@@$%%*@%$+% gotta bet agains the odds..

EDIT - Don't know why the verse is soo spread out
