When was the most active/deadliest/violent time period in cali that had to do with gangs??? Was anything going on in the 60/70's.

Im doing a project and I want to research gangs in cali but we cant do after the 70's

You'll probably have to look at reliable sources for that type of information. Academic Journals and the like.


I don't think you'll find that pre-70's gang era in California could be considered the most violent by any means but probably a better topic forthat time period would be the uprising/beginning of gangs in California.

Im only 24, and the craziest time growing up around LA was definitely the early 90s. I think that was gangbanging at its peak. I remember around myneighborhood there were some killings and the riots broke out too around that time

Very organized gangs. LA gangs are only more famous because of movies and west coast rap in the 90's.
