Anyone here in a Car Club, Looking for info and advice.

Here you go long story short, I forgot i was on NT and dudes dont read paragraphs. Basically i was leaving the grocery store and some dude stopped me andstarted talking about me about cars. He told me he was in a car club that sponsored and then went on to tell me how they get free parts, accessories and otherthings for free. To join the car club all i have to do is put a sticker on my windshield to rep the club. He has a few hundred in NY/Connecticut, Florida andMichigan (where im at). Now im not sure why someone would give someone else free parts or accessories for their car for free. He asked me to come out for aride with them on one of the days they go out and ride which is Friday,Saturday and Sunday, or whenever i have the free time and he'll introduce me to afew of the people there. So that why im posting. Does this sound legit?
 
I used to be in a crew with a dude named Dominic Toretto when I used to live in LA. I haven't spoken to him in a few years since Race Wars though, soI'm not sure if he's still around.

It gets old. My friend asked me several times to join Team Hybrid, but I declined. All you do is drive all over the places and go to car shows.

Whats wrong with that, I checked out a few dudes engines out and we didn't know each other. Nothing has been done yet to under my hood so i saw no harm.

My bad i didnt mean like he will give me free parts off rip. He said that they get free parts from their sponsors.

This is true if your car club has connection and your car is decent and will be modified quite a bit. The downfall is that you will have to sportbig stickers on your car. If you do go through with this, read the contract very carefully before signing on.
 
I'm vice president of my car club. No matter what the whole club will NOT get free parts. There might be a single car that is sponsored and might get freestuff but all his friends aren't getting anything. We are sponsored by a couple local spots (audio, tint, muffler shop, clothing spots, graphics, wheelsand tires) but all they do is just give you a discount the everyday customer doesn't get. In return we pass ouy flyers and cards at car shows or events ormaybe slap their stickers on our window just for car shows. I say go for it and check it out.


But yeah it sucks when u go to a car show but have to wake up hella early for registration and to get a good spot. But after a while you make good friends soit's just you BSin around and just kickin it. What kinda car do you have and where you from?
 
from my experience, only a few heads get free parts.

i'd do some research on their crew tho. ask around and see what people got to say about them. if you're all up in that scene the last thing you wannado is roll with a wack crew.

Yea i wouldnt think the whole club would get free parts. He only mentioned that he got a few of bucket seats and a few other smaller things. Iappreciate your feedback. I think ima check it out and see what its like. Im from florida and throughout HS my boy had a honda and he was in a car club(iforget the name). But every friday and saturday for (fiebre) they would meet up and just chill a few people would race and what not but it was mad fun. I drivea 92 honda accord ex, its maroon and a greyish/goldish color two tone with red flakes in the maroon part of the car. BTW ya mustang is dope, how long have uhad it and how much work have u done to it.
