The other woman in the Garden of Eden

my girl (a feminist {FTL}) was trying to tell me this the other week.
she uses it as one of her examples of how men have supressed women from day one and she'll never have a fair chance blah blah blah
i just tell her to not talk to me about it because i dont believe the feminist propaganda, and if there is some "he-man woman haters club" that inever got the invite. im not a christian but i do believe that this story is just feminist propaganda.

Having the Bible and The Book of Mormon FTW. My point? The Book of Mormon clarifies and teaches pure doctrine and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."

And people want to know why Christianity shares a common bond with a lot of other ancient religions?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ was revealed to Adam in his time. Over the course of many, many. many years, it became distorted and changed and modified with eachpassing generation. That is why Prophets were called to teach and proclaim the Gospel. If the people were never falling away from God and the truths alreadyrevealed, why would He continue to call Prophets? With each Prophet called (Abraham, Enoch, Moses, and Jesus Christ Himself) that Gospel was reconstituted andtaught clearly to the people who would listen. God again called a Prophet in Joseph Smith to restore what was lost over hundreds of years and the same thing ishappening today, that being that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being taught to all who will listen.

At both of you fools for believing that everything has to be mutually exclusive. Go believe in science and have God smite you. Or go believe in God and have him tell you that he left science for us.

That's exactly what the Bible is. Plus, it was written by men with motives. And revised and revised. I'm not saying there's anything inherently wrong with this but just don't think think it's written by Jesus himself. Anyways, don't wanna get off topic.
Correct. It changed from revission to revission and then from print to print. Also when monks where the ones copyings books you don't know what things they changed or they misunderstood. And they neve say on the Bible Jesus himself writed ti so...
Thats how I feel, Do you know how people change history heck I bet in 50 years George W. Bush will probably go down as one of the best presidentsin history.

There was a post about this a couple months back. I don't think it got as out of hand as this one is going

I'll try to find it and link it.

Well, regardless of your mocking of what I stated earlier, I still know them to be true.

Say what you want, I've heard it all before, read it all before, and had it all thrown in my face before. I will not denounce or or deny what I know isright.
If all I have to do is "accept" Christ as my Savior, then I'm saved and I'll catch up with all of you guys later in Heaven. Either way, Iwill follow Christ's example and keep the covenants I've made.

Of course you didn't. One theory is that the Roman Catholic Church or the origins of it didn't want alot of stuff in the Bible. Like I said it's just theory; you knows what the exact truth is. I've always wanted to do a study on the Bible and it's origins but could never find time outside of my other studies. Rhizobs, what's a good place to start as a reference to the Bible???
its hard to choose a book. most bible study books give you a straight interpretation of stories in the bible. "how to study the bible foryourself" is a pretty cool book that explains a lot of meanings and proverbs. it is more of cliffs notes type of text. to find hidden stories, you wouldneed to read something entirely different. just do a barnes and noble search for secret bible stories or something like that.

if you are just starting, read the niv bible. this is a basic bible that is easy to ready. and its just a history book, but you get to learn about the backboneof all this bible stuff.

i learned a lot of stuff through religion classes i took in college. any elective column i was required to take, i took a religion class. i've gone thrustudies of all 7 major religions, but christianity touches closest to home and that is where i went to the most depth.
