Pharrell surely should be considered a mainstream artist.

I think Timbo wins this though.

Ummm...then you can remove Pharell, Timbo, and Mannie fresh from your list. How you gonna ask people which producer is the best rapper, thenimmediately exclude Dre, Kanye, and Puffy because they have mainstream careers....AND THEN include Pharell, Timbo, and Mannie fresh on your list?

Maybe because Dre, Ye & Puffy are all solo artists who would easily get all the votes for producer/rapper (@ least Ye & Dre)...while on the other hand,P, Timbo & Mannie ain't solo artists (Yes, P made "In My Mind", which was for HIS fans/collaborations on basically every track, Timbo made"Shock Value" which was basically the same formula as P's but with more features & Mannie made "The Mind of Mannie Fresh"-I doubt alot of people even know that album exists)
