Guys whether y'all like it or not Nike sees Lebron as the present AND future of Nike, he'll be around longer and make more money for Nike from this point on out. Kobe had his chance, and Nike was just about to go all in for him until Katelyn Faber came up to his room. Sure his image has rebounded from that incident, but don' think for one second that it didn't affect him as far as Nike's poster boy.
Kobe has like 4 sig shoes from Nike... ok 5 including the Hyperdunk.
LBJ, as for today, has 6 (I-VI) + 4 (3xSoldiers, 20-5-5) + 2 (Low ST, Ambassador) = 12. Not to mention 4 low-tops. Even if you decide to skip the last two that's 10 high end basketball sneakers.
Nike has two best NBA players under their wing... of course the marketing is different for both of them, but Bron is the future.

the OG AJ XII came in a regular brown/black/orange Nike box
imo Kobe deserves his own box design!

What exactly makes a person deserving of a Special Box Design.
I could pretty much bet Kobe wont finally get a special box design and say...."Yes... I made it"
Maybe like his shoes Kobe prefers no frills unless its something super limited like those glass cases....

Hmm..pretty much Kobe and Lebron are 1A and 1B in terms of moving product in my guessmation. I see people rocking Kobes and Lebrons about the same amount. Evethough I see a whole lot more Lebron commericals. I dont know maybe Lebron is killing him in terms of sales?

I have sat in on Meetings for Kobe and Lebron for Marketing. So Im not just throwing stuff out there bro. Not at all... I pretty much stay in the middle. Not Idont like Kobes Low... cause I dont wear lows.. but the 3 was different and comfortable. The II was a beast for comfort...

Sometimes packaging means everything, but when Bron REALLY needs small things done to enhance his line, the box shouldn't be the Focus...
Just think. Kobe's shoes do well on their own. Kobe folks know that... Brons shoe needs extra to add to the shoe....?
Look at the Jordan Line... when the line started going down hill.. that XVII had a suitcase.. to make up for what the shoe WAS NOT... Take away and distractfrom the shoe...and mayne the shoe will get much focus.. lol
I think that same thing is happening now.
Look at the Mr. Basketball... I saw that thing MONTHS and MONTHS before it released.. they even tried to redo it... but put that thing in a BIG OLE Locker typething.... Did the Locker save the shoe? no.. It went to Outlets anyway.
If I were UA I would put Brons shoe in a Brown Paper Lunch bag... cause thats what he does... Goes to work everyday and brings his lunch. That joint would selljust as much and get as much hype as the shoe it self.

Yes, I know, the OG I, OG blk/red XI in mids and lows, and the OG XIIs are the only jordans to come in Nike boxes.
The point that I was making is that at that time, Jordans were the only line that had a special box.

it would be nice to see a box but i think his shoes speak for themselves...brons have gone more on the "risky" looks or designs so i guess they needboxes help add appeal?? just a guess. then again they invested more with bron (contract) so maybe they need to market his sheit better
