How hard has recession hit you?

I know they're have been plenty of threads about this but how are you guys still living the way you are w/ recession. Both my parents lost their jobs andnow me and my sis are paying bills on min wage it's not that bad if you take away all the drama. How are you guys doing right now and how are you saving $?

I'm pretty scared about this recession that we're in.

I'm in school so its not too bad but I have a grip of friends who have lost their jobs.
 
Just spending my money better...nothing major...bout to get my summer wardrobe together though excited bout that...switching everything up...
 
Right now I can't complain. The industry I'm in (or at least the demographic we target) is really thriving. I'm seeing sales exceed 200% toforecast. Also, since budgets have typically been slashed across the board, I'm able to negotiate terms way lower than before(I do quite a bit of mediabuying).

However, I'm trying to play it safe and not lose sight of the big picture. I've cut back on all of my spending: eating out, clothes, entertainment,non-essentials. It's kind of wild to realize how much money I used to waste on a monthly basis. I wish that I had this state of mind year ago!
 
it hasn't affected me as of this point...hopefully it stays that way

I work in retail, and the recession has hit us hard. We get destroyed in sales compared to last year, and when we dont make sales the store gets less laborhours, meaning i lose hours which means less money for me to live with.

my @(*Y#$ brakes are #&*$( messed up in in my mother$&*%(* car and my @Y(#Y$(_ sister drives that @#U(*Y) and she is one who probably @&*%* them upbut I had to spend my whole @(#)($ paycheck to get that @Y*(% fixed and I worked @(#$) extra hours for that money and now that @&*#(@ is all down thedrain. And the @*)#$ up part is THE CAR ISN'T EVEN MINE. $(*%% my life. I'm about to commit that. Peace NT.
 
in college still but i owe money to my mom and we been fighting over money for awhile now... kinda sad...
