4/19/03 - 6 YEARS AGO - AJ 3 White/Cements released (6 years!)

I was still in college and times were hard... copped one pair, wish i could have got more though cause my tabs are yellowed up

i remember these alo. copped mine in dc at a mom & pop spot. wanted to cop 2 pairs, but money was a little tight so i was still happy with 1. wore themabout twice and recently sold them here on NT. it was a situation where they were so beautiful to me that i didn't wanna mess them up by wearing them (asif that's not what they were meant for

).

that's why i sold them. my outlook is different now. i ain't about "stocking" shoes anymore. wear them and enjoy them while u can is mymotto. never no when the end will come so... so now if i have shoes that are "too precious" to wear, i just sell them.

def. remember copping these in '03 tho.
 
I remember buying 5 pairs..eastbay maybe? Im not good with early morning rushes...I took 1 pair to my local shoe shop to customize them into "firereds" lol, NT vets remember this "trend" on this board..he kinda messed up on my midsole so I sold them to a boy of mines for about$150.00...other pairs still DS collecting dust for no reason
 
I went through hell tryin to get these! Me & 2 of my friends were on the hunt for these. We were seniors in high school. We dididnt have cars so we had toride the metro to like 3 different spots till we finally found all three sizes. I remember the first spot we went to I was able to get my size but the boysdidn't. So before I bought my pair I sold my pair inside the store to some guy for $5. I know it was wrong of me but I needed bus $. So it all worked outperfect. After a 5 hour mission and no money left, me & my friends had to walk it back home on an empty stomach. But it was all well worth it!

I think the releases back then were easier because the weekday releases meant everyone was at school or work. Ahh the days....
 
Still the greatest sneaker of all time, without a doubt. If I could go in a store and get these any time I wanted I'd never buy another sneaker.
 
Easy cop here in NYC. I copped them on May 3rd (same day the blk/chrome VIII's released). What a day. Seen X-Men 2 that day as well.
 
All the pairs of J's I want came out when I was younger and wasn't into shoes like that, partly because I wasn't even old enough to have a job. Iwas 13 when these came out. Man, I never had a pair of these, but I've wanted um to rerelease again sometime soon like the True Blues..... besides the TrueBlues these are the only pair of III's I like.

i passed on them to get the blk/chrome VIII's myself.

they did not sell out fast. they sat in store shelves for weeks .
 
this shoe just happens to be one out of my favorite three.i remember i walked in to finishline three days after the release and walked away with a size9.5
